I had another brand on a previous vehicle. I inquired why they have not developed one for this motor. They recommended not to install one based on the design of the pcv system.
Installed the Hella TE series horns for Toyota. Should have done it two months ago. Got em on Amazon. It says itās ānot a fitā. It works. Super simple and maybe ten minutes to install.
The entire facia is flimsy. Toyota screwed up by using the wrong type of screw. They should have used a bolt with machine a machine thread. Iām not an engineer and I have already rectified the problem two months ago.
Never go thru a firewall grommet like that. It will leak. Going thru the bottom would be a better choice. There is a possibility of that wire being damaged by the sheet metal, regardless of insulation

When pulling down the dome light housing, be warned. You will have to get your fingers in deep. There is a separate trim piece around the circumference of the housing that snaps off pretty easily. One of the tabs broke off. It seems fine. The video makes it look easier than it is.
Noticed while installing. Using the 5pin dongle plugged into the empty harness. There are two air vents in the cover. Iām assuming it gets hot but not sure how hot. It was up to 123 degrees
