Replacing my 2012 Subaru STi here. I've been driving subaru's for just about the last 20 years and have previously owned a built up 1986 1st gen 4Runner (see left). I've been wanting to get back into the SUV and 4Runner game for several years and was close to picking up a 5th gen but when the...
As a heads up if anyones looking for a TRD Off-Road Premium in Colorado. My dealer in Denver, Groove Toyota (on south broadway), sent me an allocation they have as an alternative if i didnt want to continue to wait on the TRD Pro waitlist. Groove is an MSRP price dealer and has been fairly...

I believe folks are referring to this fake engine noise that gets piped through the JBL system equipped vehicles. I'll be turning this off either via Carista or the dealer ASAP
I doubt it'd be in the 3K range unless your going to a shop that absolutely price gouges. When i had my STi done full front, mirrors, quarter front fenders and trunk lid it was all sub 1K worth of 3M film. Now that I am considering that I also think it might not be a bad idea to get the flares...
Been thinking about this alot as well after seeing a good amount of content around the Tacoma and my choice of the underground color. I think i'll probably have my guy PPF the fender flares while they are doing "clearbra" to the front and side mirrors and see if that keeps them relatively save...

Brings up a question i've been curious about since i havent been a 4Runner owner since 1st gen era. As these are all automatics do they have remote start capabilities on the key fob or is that reserved for the cell-phone based subscription app?
Also just rcvd the pricing slick from my contact at the dealer where my deposit is in. Assuming this small caption at the bottom of the doc indicates the website trim builder will be live sometime today hopefully?
is there a list of standard or default equipment on each trim as well? the slides from the consolidated post dont quite have all of it listed. ie: is a moonroof standard on trailhunter/pro but has to be added on for TRD-ORP etc?
out of curiosity which trims are getting the moonroof? was glancing through the updated trim list linked from OP again and didnt see where it was listed even for the TRD Pro.
would not say thats a hard requirement at all, most modern FI engines have pretty optimized cooling systems. Probably doesnt hurt if you've really been pushing it to let it idle a few before shutting it down but it really depends on how you define extreme driving. I'd probably only look to do...
Good question there, i think only time will tell on that one as i've never owned a hybrid or EV so don't have a ton of experience on it. One thing i'll add to my previous post is that Toyota has been in the turbo game for a long time (reference my 1st gen TURBO 4-runner in my profile pic :)...
yeah, could just be comfort levels for those older, more proven, and legacy engines. Some folk are hard set on the concept that a turbo introduces more components that can fail as well which further backs the more simple configurations. Personally, i've been driving subaru's for the better part...
South Denver here, currently have my deposit in since May over at Groove Toyota off Broadway. I worked with Ian over there and was also advised they do not charge over MSRP. I reached out to Mountain State prior to putting my deposit down at Groove and was unable to get much...
Evening all,
Realizing the link below is a Tacoma review so mods let me know if that is a no no around here but i'm looking at alot of 2024 Tacoma review stuff to get an idea of what we're looking at with the 2025 4Runner hybrid as they share the drivetrain and several other similarities. I...
