4runner came with scratch on interior trim, what would you do?

Toyota will replace it for free.

If that was delivered with that gouge, it did not pass PDI...dead stop.
PDI is a requirement for all Toyotas and they often skip a lot of it,
but if dealer balks, go after Toyota corporate they'll 107% make it right
and replace it.

Welp went to the dealership just to see what they say… and they blew me off. They said that the salesperson and overseeing manager are (conveniently) off until Friday, and that they are not ‘allowed’ to start a conversation about it unless they are present. Debating if it’s worth bringing up to corporate, or to just leave a terrible review LOL

you can ask but dont expect them to replace it. I'm sure a new door panel is relatively inexpensive to replace. Guessing a couple hundred dollars since it's all plastic. Not a big loss if it really bugs you.

Just look at parts online, it has to be the entire door panel and it’s ranges between 600-900 dollars, and that’s excluding labor. Beyond cost and effort to get some sort off goodwill from the stealership, I’m wondering if its worth the risk if popping off the entire door panel, and possibly introducing alignment and rattle issues, to replace a scratch, but it does bug me and i don’t have kids yet, so i am expecting to keep the cabin relatively clean for a while…

could try some sealer and do some rubbing to maybe buff it out. as long as its just a surface scratch it should buff out.
