Hmm, I did not have any problems. I think I just used a clean rag--old t-shirt probably (I have a lot now as rags). Do wash it first of course, then wipe it down to get it completely dry. Only put on a couple sprays per "panel" as in the directions (I interpret that as the equivalent of a door panel) and wipe it over the whole panel with a different (dry) cloth. Probably good to do it in not really hot sun, although I do not recall what the weather was like when I did mine. I do know it is (past) time to do it again!
