  1. One Year with the 6th Gen (Meta Mod Recap) - 2025 4Runner TRD ORP Hybrid Build

Hi @OvrLnd99, Yes, it ran under the trim, as described in the install manual, and then punched through 2 holes that were drilled into the metal behind the driver-side wheel well to bring clean power up to the engine bay. You can see that in these photos. The connector hardware that mounts...
  2. Bluetooth connectivity improved?

Another option is to long-press the Phone button on the steering wheel, then press "Connect a Device" on the infotainment screen, then tap the Carplay toggle to the right of your iPhone in the list of devices. It will connect your phone via wireless Carplay within about 2 seconds.
  3. Owners Manual says no snow chains on 265/70R18 tires. Anyone use cables that will work without damaging?

I use the low profile cable chains from Security Chain Company (SCC). They are designed to work in tight clearance situations, and install with no looseness or play. Had them on my 5th Gen 4Runner and now on my 6th Gen TRD ORP and they've always worked great — never any damage to the wheel wells...

This post is based on my real-world experience and my specific use case. All photos are mine, and my goal is simply to share my experience with the 4Runner6G community. I just returned from a 10-day road trip on Vancouver Island using this system every day, which is what solidified my...
  8. Dual-battery setup for the Hybrid 4Runner

It's the Blue Sea Systems 12v power panel. I use it to monitor starter battery voltage on its OLED display, and to add some additional 12V/USB charging ports in the rear cargo area. You can read more about it here...
  9. Dual-battery setup for the Hybrid 4Runner

Yeah, the 800W Alternator Charger starts up automatically, so you don't have to remember to "push the button" every time. :-)
  10. Dual-battery setup for the Hybrid 4Runner

No issues with the the 800W Alternator Charger drawing down the starter battery. It just gets charged by the alternator (or DC-DC Converter) when the engine is running and doesn't have any draw when the engine is turned off. You can also set a trigger voltage in the EcoFlow app (the starter...
  11. Dual-battery setup for the Hybrid 4Runner

In a previous post, I described how I built my 2025 TRD Off-Road Premium iForceMAX 4Runner to be a self-sufficient adventure vehicle for extended, multi-day camping and overland/off-roading trips. I equipped it with a Dometic CFX3 45 Electric Cooler which runs off 12v DC, along with other 12v...

  15. Sherpa Rack (Capitol Roof Rack) installed on my TRD ORP iForce MAX

I used the one that came with it. FIt perfectly and mounts directly against the vertical T-slot on the crossbar. Just consider the front-to-back crossbar placement during the install.
