Just installed mine as well. Took less than 15 minutes and is totally worth it.

I have the full length Sherpa (no lights) and I haven’t noticed any wind noise except when my Yakima roof box is installed. I track my fuel use on an app and the rack alone caused a 2.5 mpg drop.

I’ve mounted my Yakima box to my Sherpa rack and it was smooth fit and easy install

My thinking is that say you have some lumber or surfboards and you absentmindedly open the hatch via the in dash button or remote, it would be to protect both the material and the car.

I installed the Sherpa rack and haven’t noticed any noise. I mostly listen to podcasts (as opposed to loud music) so I’d think I would notice if it was loud or bothersome. Full disclosure: I have yet to drive with anything mounted to the rack.

In most cases some, if not all, of that will be passed onto the consumer. The point I made in my original comment is that people mistakenly believe the value will be higher. Just correcting the math.
