To echo @TN4Runner it could just be moisture from the protective wrap they have on paint during transport. The way that looks on yours, it looks just like when they put that film over new paint that is still off-gassing and isn't 100% dry yet.
Take a look at this video from Ammo NYC where he is...
I have no experience with these, but I have heard good things about the Dominator D6 running boards. Not sure how much they drop down vs Predator steps though.
Oh perfect! I appreciate you confirming this works and the pics! Now I am looking for the cheapest 285/70 now since that will always be a spare (not included in tire rotations).
When I first came across the StickerFab site and all their interior/exterior decal offerings, I thought they were kinda tacky. Not going to lie, some are starting to grow on me (this one included).
This is exactly what I was thinking. With the stock drain plug, I would imagine it would get pretty messy (like trying to pee through a keyhole) since the drain flow changes as the oil level goes down. BUT, perfect excuse for a Valvomax or Fumoto system (assuming the skid plate has enough...
So I swapped out my stock SR5 wheels/tires for a set of Method 703 wheels and 285/70r17 Toyo tires.
My plan was to take one of my stock SR5 wheels that is just sitting in my garage, getting a semi-equivalent sized tire to the 285/70 mounted on it and using that as my new spare.
I figure that...
I have about 2500 miles on my SR5 with the 285/70r17 tires on it. On highways/freeways, I average about 21mpg. City (most of my driving), I average between 16-18mpg.
I drive 100% in the "Normal" driving mode.
I bought the TRD one purely because I got it on super sale, but if I didn't get the deal, I would have gone aftermarket purely for the oil change access doors.
That is excellent news! Glad RRW offered a few solutions, both of which are good. Good idea on keeping the damaged one to use as a spare and using a discount to replace it.
The trend of companies making you pay for "Shipping Protection" is such bullcrap.
If you buy something from a company, the transaction should not be done until you are satisfied and got your goods as expected, period.
Sorry to hear how RRW is treating the situation, good way of a company...
I hate that a lot of car manufacturers have moved too soy based wire insulation. Makes them too tasty for the rats/mice.
In my last car, I had a rat die while chewing some wires and got stuck. After I cleaned him out (discovered him only because every time I parked for 2 days, it smelled like a...
