  1. Truth or BS? Dealership info on removing air dam

Just put the bolts back in, it takes two minutes to remove them and the air dam and 2 more minutes to put the bolts back in. I did mine in the parking lot at the dealer before driving off, didn't even take long enough for my wife to ask what I was doing.
  2. Noise above 30mph

Applying brakes lightly here doesn’t change anything, it happens no matter what I do when it’s warm out and I’m over about 25MPH.
  3. Noise above 30mph

I've had neighbors tell me they could hear it when I drove past on really hot days last summer. I don't have the air dam on my 4R, so it's not that. I'm 100% sure it's not some kind of wind noise, it has a very metallic quality to that sounds more like a bad bearing or belt pulley. And it...
  4. Noise above 30mph

Does your dealer even admit to hearing it? The service manager at mine keeps insisting they don't hear it, even when they are driving and it's plain as day to me sitting next to them.
  5. Noise above 30mph

It happens with mine and I don't have the hybrid. My issue was the same even after having the TSB done for the brake noise, so I'm not sure it's that.
  6. Who's had their 6th gen for a year now? What do you love/hate?

Like: Good blend of hands on controls with modern electronics and functionality. It really is a go anywhere kind of vehicle for me, from looking nice around town to letting me explore anywhere in the backcountry. I personally like the stiffer handing compared to my 22 Tacoma, maybe not as good...
  7. Disappointed with the Paint on My Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro

Ceramic coatings don't do anything for scratch prevention, so I wouldn't focus on that aspect as the reason for scratches. They are literally just a few atoms thick, not going to make any difference when it comes to that kind of protection.
  8. Possible Belt Sound? SR5 ~ 310 Miles

Mine is definitely coming from the engine compartment, and with almost 9k miles on the ORP now it's only getting slightly louder.
  9. Possible Belt Sound? SR5 ~ 310 Miles

Some people on the 4G tacoma forum think it's a solenoid in the purge valve: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/threads/weird-chirping-sound.6264/ I'm tempted to order one and try it since it looks like it's probably a cheap and easy part to replace. Need to find part number....
  10. Possible Belt Sound? SR5 ~ 310 Miles

Just a follow up in case anyone reads this in the future, the issue was not related to the brake TSB. That has been completed and I still have this chirping noise.
  11. Noise above 30mph

We are all stuck trying to get this noise fixed. 😔
  12. Noise above 30mph

If it's a bearing or other suspension issue I'm guessing it can affect either of the front wheels.
  13. Disable PKSB + Warning message on startup?

No luck, been trying to find a way for months so I can keep my bike rack on the back without at beeps or warnings every time I start the vehicle.
  14. Bearing-like noise

I've been dealing with this since day 1 on my ORP, definitely frustrating. For me it happens once I get above 20MPH or so, and is more pronounce the warmer out it is. Dealer said they couldn't hear it the two times I took it in, which is frustrating as once you hear it it's hard to NOT hear...
  15. Recommended front jack location is very far back?

Having the front skid plate definitely makes this a lot easier, only two jack points to do all 4 tires each winter which is nice.
