  1. Building a Trailhunter Light (2026 TRD ORP Custom Build)

Looks good, and you’re getting what you want! The only reason I thought of getting a Trailhunter (or Pro) was for the electric front sway bar disconnect. It’s an Expensive add on, so hopefully someone will come up with more of an affordable solution. im in the process of doing my 2026 TRD ORD...
  2. PPF or Ceramic Coating for a 2026 Platinum?

Yeah, if you’re not using a microfiber application pad, you’re not going to be happy. Lol. I go to Vegas often, I will have to check that place out. There’s several places out there I want to checkout. And just a friendly FYI for those. Don’t forget to do a decon before applying the ceramic...
  3. PPF or Ceramic Coating for a 2026 Platinum?

Thats funny you mention those 2 trim coatings. I was just talking about this with a local detail shop…. I personally don’t like the Gyeon Evo trim coating. I applied it to my 26 4Runner, and the durability doesn’t seem all that good. While on the other hand, I applied the Gtechniq C4 on my old...
  4. PPF or Ceramic Coating for a 2026 Platinum?

Definitely agree with you on that. Yeah, I’ve always been skeptical on the UV protection, but a lot of detailers say it does. Then some say it’s just a marketing claim… Will say, there’s so many different ceramic coatings out there, it’s kind of crazy. Lol. I wanted to get into detailing, but...
  5. PPF or Ceramic Coating for a 2026 Platinum?

False. They do help against the elements (that’s very well known, hence easy maintenance) but it does not offer protection against scratching, chips and so on. Lol (not saying you went that far, I’m adding that) It helps protect against Micro Marring, that’s it. So when drying your car (as an...
  6. PPF or Ceramic Coating for a 2026 Platinum?

What’s your question? Those are for 2 different purposes… - PPF: Adds protection (which I did mine) - Ceramic Coating: No protection, but adds a nice hydrophobic layer, awesome shine, along with easier maintenance cleaning. (Which I also have on top off my PPF) There is ceramic coatings that...
  7. PPF Under Roof Rack Recommendations?

Yeah, it makes a world of a difference. I did my entire front end, hood, grill, fenders, rocker panels (front, rear, doors and door panels). Cost a little but worth it in the end.
  8. PPF Under Roof Rack Recommendations?

Have you got a quote to get a shop to do it for you? It won’t cost much, being you’re going to spend $80 on a stop as it is. I got the high impact areas done on mine several weeks ago, after buying mine. Obviously that cost a bit more.
  9. From 2025 Limited to 2026 TRD Pro - my experience

Nice upgrade. Yeah, keeping 40psi is like riding on bricks! I dropped mine to 30psi when I bought it. Definitely makes a difference.
  10. POLL: Aftermarket Tail Lights - Startup Sequence Function

I don’t have personal experience, other than what I’ve seen on social media. From what I’ve seen, I’m with several others, I don’t like the time lapse, takes to long…. I’m not at some rave where the lights need to flash, and do all these things for 20mins. Lol. However, some do look cool though.
  11. Edmunds hates the 6th Gen 4Runner.

Lol. He said “the Subaru and Honda Outback will give the same off road abilities” Yeah… OK 👍 The only correct statements made were: Bad ride quality. The ride quality sucks, it’s what it is. (I’ve got a 26 TRD ORP) Smaller cargo area. Buddy of mine is about 6’2” and he has to slide the...
  12. SR5 to Trailhunter.

Yeah, the resale on these are insane! I was kind of worried these 6th gen might not hold up as well, but it’s seeming I’m wrong.
  13. SR5 to Trailhunter.

Yeah, that’s not bad at all. Plus, long as the numbers are “mathing” in the endthat’s what counts. That’s a good point, some vehicles do have a better over all resale compared to others. Naturally, supply and demand. It’s honest crazy some of the resale value on 4Runners, and I’m going to...
  14. SR5 to Trailhunter.

That’s not exactly true. The people most likely to walk away from a modified vehicle are primarily the older generation, or buyers looking at heavily modified vehicles. Dealers absolutely do mark up used vehicles with wheels, tires, and lifts. There’s money to be made, and dealers will choose...
