Not arguing against your point. I understand that’s how capitalism works sometimes.
But I have a 22 Ram pickup and a 25 MB Sprinter. Neither of them required me to subscribe for navigation. Certainly their cost for that is built into the selling price of each vehicle. Toyota should have done...
I love OnX. Too bad we are starting to see glitches.
I guess it forces us to rely more on the tiny phone screen and downloaded maps than that big 14” screen that I love in my 6th gen.
Well, the disappearing map thing is a disappointing thing. I was afraid that would be the answer.
Guess I better brush up on my Google Maps skills.
Toyota raises the 6th gen prices AND then charges you on top of that for the navigation feature. That is pretty bold.
Guess they figured out that...
Thanks! Appreciate the thorough explanation. Now I get it!
Have not had enough opportunities to play with OnX on my Pro’s screen to this point so this thread has me interested in one of the frustrations. I am currently about 1,000 miles away from my vehicle otherwise I would be out there in my...
I am approaching 1 year and the expiration of my trial subscription. I too did not want to incur the monthly charge. I was kind of shocked when the Toyota salesman said I had to pay for navigation. (At first I thought he was pulling my leg.)
Has anyone seen what happens to Toyota Navigation...
If you are asking about OnX offline maps, they save to your phone and you can select how detailed you want them. More detail takes longer to download and takes up more space.
And, yes, it is a good idea to check that you have them before losing cell service.
OP is on an iPhone. I agree the problem is probably traced to OnX, but it seems to be affecting BOTH CarPlay and Android Auto.
Maybe a call to OnX is where a solution will be found. Tell them phone model and operating system - that’s what I would suggest.
It might be easier to diagnose the source of the problem if you were getting nothing, but you are getting something.
Not sure if it is a Toyota issue or a phone issue or an OnX issue. I would start with contacting OnX.
What happens when you tap that diagonal arrow above the amber clock readout? Anything?
And then when you tap “Waypoints” etc? Anything?
(Just guesses on my part. I am nowhere near my Pro.)
Last resort you could contact OnX. There are more than a few newest gen Tacoma and 4Runner owners out...
Edit: Ignore the smaller grill light along the bottom edge in the close up photo. Those were just temporary. The upper one is what you want as they fit the grill openings perfectly.
Try these from Amazon. They fit the Pro and the install was easy. Picture taken in winter so colors are sort of muted but the amber Raptor lights match the DRL amber perfectly.
I like it and am considering doing the same.
Is this the part number for the exhaust tip you used?
PT932-89180-02
When I input that number, it does not come up as a match for my 25 Pro. But yours is a Pro - did you have any difficulty getting it to fit? (Worried about pipe diameter.)
Such an impressive build! I can see you have now created your perfect explorer setup. Hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.
And what a fantastic write-up! Your information is comprehensive, and supported with both photos and links.
Thank you for taking the time to summarize all of your...
