I am the worst judge of distance. But I will say that I have no trouble seeing anything they are pointed at. I did the driving combo which gives me half spot and half flood. A pure spot would definitely give a longer beam, but I liked having is partially flooded because it really lit the road...
I went with the HXB. I really like them. They're super bright but a nice tone of amber. I had to use the on a really rainy foggy night and the cut through the mess with no issues. And they arent super big. I didnt want anything getting in the way of my field of vision.
I won't lie, I'm a bit of an ARB fan girl. I am looking forward to an MT64 kit in a few months and I am totally excited to see the details on that new front bumper.
I use Morimoto 4Bangers. If I try to use them in a straight forward direction, I lose some light on the hood. But if I'm angling them about 10 degrees toward the ditch (which I assume is their main purpose) they hit perfect. Just my opinion, but if they sat up higher, they would bug me a bit...
I have the Westcott brackets installed. I really like them as they are low pro and keep the lights tight and as out of my field of view as much as possible.
I asked ARB about a diff drop or a pan hard bar. They said that neither were needed with their kit. Since they did the suspension for the trailhunter, they probably know the platform fairly well.
The Road So Far:
Full set of Trailhunter skid plates
OEM TRD tow hooks front and rear
Westcott Design ditch light brackets
Morimoto 4Banger amber ditch lights
I did a full front end PPF. Couldn't quite afford the whole thing this time. But then did a ceramic coating at a local shop. Saved a ton of money there.
