You guys are very impressive with your book knowledge. Lifting a truck, putting aftermarket tires, loading overlanding gear on roof racks. They all alter the driving experience and can cause increased driving danger. I am trying to gain real life experience and am thinking about seeing how it is...
Imma just leave this here. My only FOMO was not having the rear locker from the OFF ROAD package but my SR5 with the standard A-TRAC proving it is not needed here. Passenger rear and front driver both with barely any traction getting it handled. Front even floating as seen. Anyone else pushing...
I’ll take a picture of the wheel full locked and give you an idea of the clearance I have with the 1 inch spacer. Then you can see if the 285 which is probably about a half an inch narrower will need it or not.
Just wondering if all you had to do was the crash plate removal and fender liner tuck in the front? I’m definitely going to 35s when I wear out these tires offloading.
I love it. Got the M1 shocks and this thing does well offroad with great on road feel. We have a lift shop here that just did a 6” and it look awesome. Kind of bumming that I didn’t hold out for that but I love our setup as is.
I am running 295/70/17 No trimming and no rubbing even off road
The ride is smooth. But with my load range E tires it firms it up a bit. Overall ride would be softer if you ran a lighter duty tire.
Also running a 1” wheel spacer to clear the upper control arm with the stock wheels
