  1. TRD Pro - payload capacity?

Payload is rated as 895 for 2-row 4Runners, and 1160 for 3-row. Regardless of trim or whether or not it’s hybrid.
  2. Engine almost stalls

Limited is available in hybrid in the USA; they probably aren't familiar with the trim availability minutiae between US/CAN
  3. TRD Pro - payload capacity?

Previous thread with a lot of discussion: https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/curb-weight-gvwr-towing-capacity-for-6th-gen-4runner-2025.1991/post-97131 TL;DR: nothing prevents a manufacturer from setting the advertised payload capacity lower than (GVWR - Curb Weight). Toyota seems to be...
  4. Auto start stop (ASS) in 6th gen 4Runner?

How do you "default" it to the off position? AFAIK it resets every time you restart the vehicle...
  5. Can you get the digital rear view mirror close to the headliner?

I haven't put a lot of effort into inspecting it closely but I too have noticed the digital rearview mirror feels like it's missing a pivot point or something compared to what I'm used to
  6. This motor sounds bad. Is it an issue?

Maybe, but the truth is it's super common for people to think totally normal sounds are problematic, especially with how toyota packages their motors so i bet 90%+ of the inbound complaints about motor noise, especially ticking, are motors working as designed/expected
  7. How're you lifting your 4runner? Ramps or floor jack + jack stands?

I just slide under it for fluid changes. Not at 5k mi yet for my first rotation!
  8. If 91 fuel can potentially gain more horsepower, does 93 fuel make a bigger difference?

Higher octane will yield more power on these engines and have no ill effect (the management system dynamically adjusts). Hence how the exact same engine in the exact same configuration calls for premium in other vehicles on the exact same platform. The idea that running higher octane would harm...
  9. Considering Trading my ORP for Land Cruiser LC250 - Talk me out of it.

Other than the locking rear diff, the FT4WD system in the 4Runner limited/platinum is the same as the LC afaik.
  10. Considering Trading my ORP for Land Cruiser LC250 - Talk me out of it.

IMO they're effectively the same vehicle by any meaningful metric, so trading one in for the other is basically equivalent to trading one in for another trim of the same. Sure, there are what I would consider minute differences, like that you can't equip a 4R with FT4WD AND a locking rear diff...
  11. Considering Trading my ORP for Land Cruiser LC250 - Talk me out of it.

yes, the disconnecting sway bar will be very useful in the city! along with the other off-road specific pros of the LC you identified
  12. 2026 TRD Pro - Attaching Front Licence Plate

After much deliberation, I just installed the OEM front plate bracket with the OEM hardware. Works for me. I did drill really thin pilot holes in the divots that are pre-stamped in the bumper, despite the instructions specifically saying not to do that! Normally I go for something drill-free...
  13. 2026 4Runner TRD Pro … First Impressions

Yeah, there's something inside the center console that rattles/buzzes at a high frequency when I go over certain bumps or terrain or when the engine RPM is exactly right. Really the only rattle/creak mine makes. Haven't been able to isolate it yet.
  14. Is the 2026 Limited (Non-Hybrid) safe to buy now, or should I wait for 2027?

I went with 265/60R20 ATs on the stock Limited rims: https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/what-did-you-do-to-your-6th-gen-4runner-today-%F0%9F%91%A8%F0%9F%8F%BB%E2%80%8D%F0%9F%94%A7-%F0%9F%A7%B0-%F0%9F%9B%A0.2403/post-96324
