  1. Looking for an anti-rattle hitch clamp

Receiver tube dims are all over the place. I have used this for the last few years. Works decent. Various sizes are available. Bit of a contraption sometimes but overall decent. I like the lever action.
  2. Gap below rear door letting snow/mud inside — normal design or missing plug?

That cavity, if I have the correct location, is in the front of the rear wheel. There should be a rubber bulb looking seal attached to the inside of the door. That bulb fits into the cavity. when the door closes. One pic shows the door closed into the cavity.
  3. Spare Tire Overtightened / Marks (rubbing damage)

I would go for a replacement. who knows if there is wall damage. I doubt anyone could answer that question with authority.
  4. Washing dirty engine bay

So this is the "expert" AI guy as to why- Inside your Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor are delicate hot-wire or hot-film elements that measure airflow by sensing the cooling effect of air passing over them, telling the car's computer how much fuel to add; yes, they are extremely sensitive to water and...
  5. Washing dirty engine bay

I am told the air mass flow sensor could be damaged if it is washed down. Located on the air intake. I do not know how reliable that info is but might be a good idea to avoid hosing down that area. If you do damage to it you will know right away with 200 flashing lights and an order to go to...
  6. Future 2026 4Runner

It is primarily the engine torque that is important towing. The Tacoma is 243 v 317 lb-ft standard 2025 4runner engine. Quite a difference and likely a lot better towing. I don't know if the models you reference are available with the Tow Tech Package but you may want to look into that option. I...
  7. 1st heavy snow 4WD debacle - what can I do differently

I could be off here but I believe 4H locks up the wheels such that they are no longer independent and tend to bind if not pulling straight (poor choice of words) which causes the slipping and sliding. Ideally in slippery conditions non independent 4 wheal drive should be used carefully. Great...
  8. Connectivity issues

Interesting. Probably stick with the fob. I find this SUV to be disappointing in tech interface. It's like there is a 5 year old behind the dash sticking magnets into things. I would really like to enjoy the unit without constant interruption from the gobbly gook bombardment of messages and ,as...
  9. Installing 3rd row seats for TRDs

Yes. In addition the second row is not adjustable forward or back. Fixed in place. With me at an average 5-10 the drivers seat back is 7 inches from the second row seat- not much leg room. I believe the two row configuration gives you an additional 5 to 6 inches. Crappy unless you know that...
  10. Torn armrest! Help needed

If that part of the interior is vinyl you may want to try this stuff. Stays flexible and claims it works on vinyl. Maybe find a hidden place to test it. Problem will be holding the tear in place while the glue dries.
  11. Connectivity issues

I have not spent any time with the digital key feature. Only use the fob. How does the loss of connectivity or network affect the digital key? Are you stranded?
  12. Connectivity issues

Yes, yesterday maybe between 8 and 9 AM. Eastern. Bunch of messages including contact the dealer??? Giant PITA
  13. Installing 3rd row seats for TRDs

Sorry this doesn't directly address your question. But beware. I have 3rd row because that is the only way I could get a unit a few months ago. I figured to just ignore it. What I didn't know is in order to cram in a 3rd row they short sheeted the second row leg room by 5 or 6 inches. It is...
  14. Forward facing carseats in third row, tether options

Might be worth contacting 828findadventure. He seems to know a lot about secret tie-downs and hidden straps. https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/how-to-keep-the-secure-second-row-from-rocking-back-and-forth-once-folded-all-the-way-up.7998/
  15. White smoke coming from tail pipe on a 2025 TRD Pro Hybrid

I would worry about the "don't worry about it" comment. Unless the washer hose was jammed up the exhaust pipe a wash is not going to cause what you describe. I was told not to worry when a fuel/ air ratio sensor went bad. They thought it could be loose gas cap. As it turns out lots of engine...
