I can't speak to the quality vs. the TRD skid since I haven't seen or handled that one in person. The LC skid has some heft to it, feels sturdy/strong. I'm happy with the perceived quality for the price. We'll see how it goes once I actually see some trails.
Copied @BonRunner and swapped out the rear dome light. I went with the smaller version 720 lumens version, which is still a huge improvement over stock.
I'm running the LC250 skid plate and paid $303 shipped. There was a 20% off sale at the time. Sales happen often. I hear from others sometimes they even do free shipping, which would've been nice for me as shipping for the skid plate was $85.
Just in case anyone wants to see the Pro wheels with Trailhunter center caps, picked mine up today. Couldn't resist the 40% off sale. Will post more pics when they're on the 4Runner.
Same hardware that was securing the plastic shields that came stock. Just need two less. The LC plate comes with hardware as well but I just used the existing.
The map lights aren't standard bulbs. They are fused to the circuit board that's in that upper control area. The red circles show the lights and the yellow circles are the holes in the trim that let the light through illuminating the clear lens.
