  1. Group 27 AGM Battery Upgrade Installed

    yes less then 15VDC
  2. Group 27 AGM Battery Upgrade Installed

The 5th Gen 4runner has 530 CC (530 CCA (OEM Panasonic brand) And it's 65Ah, but in size it feels bigger. I agree, 6gen 4runner battery in size looks smaller may be because of the bigger tray underneath. The 6gen 4runner comes with 592 CCA with 70ah,which is a little higher in capacity.
  3. Group 27 AGM Battery Upgrade Installed

I was planning to add an AGM battery to run a 12V refrigerator. If you drive daily for around 30 minutes, you should be able to run the refrigerator directly from the AGM starting battery without an issue for 2 to 3 days , and which would also save space. AGM deep-cycle batteries have a good...
  4. Door Panel Scuff Protectors installed - photos / review

Totally 100% my opinion — it's just a waste of money.
  5. Audio upgrade on JBL sound system - sound deadening doors + sub

My mistake. Just for my correction and for you: I took a magnet and tested the 4Runner, and I found that only the hood is aluminum. The roof, trunk, doors, and side panels are not. But I’m still curious whether the metal sheet all around is thinner and not as strong as the 5th Gen.
  6. Audio upgrade on JBL sound system - sound deadening doors + sub

These new audio units are better than the 5th gen. In my opinion, the problem is that this time Toyota tried to reinvent the vehicle and add aluminum everywhere. Another problem is the thinner aluminum, which increased the road noise and door vibration (overall, throughout the whole vehicle) and...
  7. My 4Runner was stolen. PSA: install kill switch / anti-theft system

Very sad to hear. So, all of you, keep your key in an aluminum case or disable your key when you are home. I am thinking they might have removed the built-in GPS Toyota tracker. They may have also used a jammer, but Toyota trackers work over the internet. You can find these vehicles in the Gulf...
  8. Default Display - Can it be changed

The problem is obvious. This screen does not have a Home screen; it defaults to GPS. You can change it, but it will always go back to the GPS (navigation) screen. I have the same issue, but once it finds a better connection (wireless), it connects to CarPlay.
  9. Top of the rear spoiler flew off

6th-gen build quality is like night and day compared to the 5th gen. It is way lower than the 5th gen because most of the panels are aluminum, so road noise, shaking, and loose points are the issues. With the 6th-gen 4Runner, if you have ever owned a 5th gen, you may notice that Toyota was...
  10. Before upgrading the audio system, try replacing the front dash speaker first (SR5)

Before spending money on upgrading any audio equipment in the 6th Gen 4Runner, I would recommend trying one simple thing first: replace the front dash speaker. In my experience, this makes a huge improvement in sound quality. In my video, I’m showing the 5th Gen 4Runner SR5 speaker that I...
  11. Why did Toyota mount the oil filter housing in this location?

I attached a picture of the 2026 4Runner's oil filter housing. From what I can see, it's a completely separate housing mounted away from the engine block. It connects through two hoses—one for the oil supply and the other for the return. This made me wonder: why did Toyota choose this location...
  12. Has anyone replaced the headlights from ORP

I had the same thought that the 4Runner low beams are not very strong. I had a 5th gen 4Runner, and I used LED bulbs in it, and those were very bright. That was my first thought. I found something interesting. The 5th gen 4Runner and thats it to point to the ground , and I tried the same...
  13. 6th 4Runner TRD Pro 1st - 2nd Gear Shift ISSUE

I honestly hate going back and forth to the dealership. It's a waste of time, and it feels like finding an experienced technician these days is getting harder and harder. I was really excited to buy the 6th Gen 4Runner, but I'm honestly disappointed. It just doesn't drive the way a brand-new...
  14. Nintendo connected to my aftermarket C12 14.6" inch head unit.

Thank you for providing the detailed information. I really appreciate it. I still have a few questions. How can you view, reset, or manage the trip information and maintenance settings with this unit? My understanding is that these features may not work without the factory radio. Also, what...
  15. Nintendo connected to my aftermarket C12 14.6" inch head unit.

So how do you access the other vehicle settings that are controlled through the radio system? If you remove the original radio, can you still access the trip information and vehicle settings through the instrument cluster (speedometer)? I don't think it will work.
