Yea sounds like a harness would be a good option then to ensure the laptop charging can keep up with the demand.
I can't speak for long term safety of overriding Toyotas engineering, but up to 400watts isn't much power load to add on 24/7 and the circuit is already designed to support it in park.
I don't think you would need over 100w for a laptop unless it was a gaming one, you can check the wattage of the laptop power brick to be sure. If you planned on having more things plugged in while driving then yes the anytime kit would be beneficial.

Try getting the woofers off ebay seperately? If you didn't toss the boxes for the dash speakers, return them and do it the right way.
You really don't want 2 or three way speakers in the doors when you have dash speakers.
Its a safety feature, not sure the trigger but I think the hatch position loses memory somehow and that is the only way to reset the memory. Maybe leaving the hatch open too long after tuning the car off.
This just dropped on YouTube.

One downside is the amplifier is not a DSP, so you cannot do time alignment or any advanced configurations.
Gone are the days of head unit swap outs and slapping amps in. Every modern car is integrated and has custom screens built into the dash that are not replaceable.
I like the bass knob, I would have put mine on the left of the wheel however. Sound deadening makes a huge difference! And now you have a solid foundation to build on in the future.
People are overcomplicating what these Beat-Sonic devices actually do. They're basically line drivers in this ENA-2T3\ENA-3T3 configuration: they increase the signal voltage going into the oem amplifier.
This doesn't magically add clarity, detail, or resolution. The factory JBL system already...
