Found the packaging. Not an official Toyota product but from what I can tell it's specifically designed for the 4R.
The two they had were roll ups, not folding.
Got my sunshade from the dealer couple days ago. They had two in stock, I of course threw away the label so can't post that info. My only gripe is it's a roll up one. I personally love the ones that fold like an accordion. But it fits perfectly and does the job. $34.99 at South Coast Toyota in...
I was debating on when to do my oil change and decided on 2,500 miles. I was taught keep the initial oil in longer than normal due to additives in the oil to help with break in period. I change oil every 5k but would wait till 7,500 for the 1st one. I've never had any issues with my cars waiting...
Very true, you do get something for that mark up but nearly $90k is ridiculous. To qoute one of my fav movies, "Better get me some sucky sucky wit dat"
All jokes aside, glad it didn't pan out with the TRD Pro. We were only going for that trim due to pure looks, we don't off road but my wife...
I think the slight increase in range has more to do with getting past the break in period. Don't know if octane has an impact on MPG but there is a thread out there that shows a dyno with a small bump in power with higher octane.
The first few tanks (3) of gas noted a ~332 mile range. Now, my range reads ~356. Odo reads ~2,150.
Other things to note, strictly 91 octane and only normal driving mode.
First off, congratulations on your new 4R. I'm currently in O'ahu as I write this. 1st time here and loving it. Anyhow, I've noticed a ton of 4R out here and your rides look dope. Congrats again and welcome.
Do we know if this fits all trims with the Max engine? I ask for 2 reasons.
1. If I chose my trim, Limited, it only gives me the gas option for engine.
2. IIRC, in watching a review vid on YT, it was mentioned that both the TRD Pro & Trailhunter's exhaust pipes were laid/routed with more...
Nothing is ever 100% reliable, shit can always happen. That beig said, a tune may negatively affect reliability but from what I've seen, that's more so b/c people drive more aggressive/beat the piss out of the car once tuned i.e. WOT pulls all the time.
But even w/o a tune that could cause...
There's a wheel/tire shop right next to the shop that did the powder coating. They got them. They look OEM as they were identical to the OEM lug nuts that came off but I can't say for certain what kind/brand they are.
I personally have not felt that.
Are you experiencing this before the engine reaches operating temperature?
The only hard transmission change I've felt (2x) is going from D to R. Both times I thought I came to a complete stop but apparently I didn't b/c when I went into R, I felt the car...
I look at it like this: 87 is the minimum. You're good to go with 87, no quarrel.
However higher is better. As proved by the dyno showing increased power.
Personally I only put 91. It's a turbo charged engine, I'm going to put the highest octane available and in CA, 91 is the highest I can find
