Don't bother. Drive like normal and if they work like they should; just send it. Not worth even $400 to have them "recalibated". That's just manufacture talk to cover their asses. If the sensors were sensitive enough to detect a 2.5" change they would throw a code.
I remember before pricing was even released that I told myself I'd buy the Pro if it was under $60k. And that was stretching it. oh boy I'd never thought it would hit $70k. It's a shame you can only get it with the hybrid.
My list of dislikes is a lot longer than my likes. Main reason why I went to a 4Runner wasn't because it's the best or second best. It was for the resale value.
Exterior:
Exterior isn't bad with the exception of the double mustache front bumper.
Dissapointed the Premium doesn't have LED...
Not all dealers sell their parts at MSRP. Some offer discounts and Toyota may offer an addition discount. I believe they just startted a 20% off parts. That's 20% in addition to the discount some dealers have. They always have some sort of sale on holidays.
It's paint. All pain these days is thin. Not like how they were 20 years ago. Manufactures make everything as cheap and thin as possible; just enough to work. I'm sure they use the same clear coat for all their vehicles so swirls are equally as prone on every single color. Some just may show up...
Different dealers may offer different discount. Try shopping from different dealers or search for discount toyota parts or wholesale toyota parts and try the dealers that show up in the search. You can also wait for July 4th and see what parts discount Toyota will offer on top of dealer...
I would normally suggest OEM; but I heard Toyota and Honda's gear fluid id quite expensive. And Amsoil can only be bought from licensed dealers which is crappy and a inconvenience. Whatever you choose will be better than not changing it.
You should have negotiated by email. That way everything is in writing and a out the door number with all fees included. Dealers will say and do anything just to get in in the dealership. Might want to look at another dealer and consider leaving them a google and yelp review of your experience...
it's just a fender flare and it won't be your last scratch. there is no product that can buff out scratches on plastic. Your better off finding a used set on marketplace or here for cheap and replace as necessary. I know the OEM ones aren't cheap as they should be.
Shop around other dealers. Your not glued to that specific one. I'm sure other have SR5's available and I'm sure you can do better than $1500 off. You should be able to get closer to $2500 or more from a in stock unit for a SR5.
you should be fine. I think the WC is a 2.5" front lift? I'd also suggest a small rear lift. From all the photos I see of the WC; the front end looks to be ever so slightly higher than the rear. Or is it just me?
