Bit of an update here.
So i found a dealer that was willing to give me a quote at least. I screenshotted the quote but cut out the personal info out of respect to my contact who helped track down a dealer. There was an interesting thing that happened though. Apparently within 24 hours of...
I hear ya and can understand why people might question my choice. The reasoning is due to my experience on replacements and maintenance in the past on my Gen 5.
I want to be able to stop at any dealer in Canada if i have a issue and know that i can get parts in 3 days max (usually faster)...
This is awesome, i carry a 4000+ lb trailer off road. knowing i can level my Gen 6 off and allow more travel on the shocks makes me feel better till i fully decide on a final build as well.
Would love to see the photos of mount locations for the valves.
Thanks very much @time2playandy
Bringing this thread back to life!
doing my order tomorrow as well. Was hoping to confirm from your experience a few things.
1) at 5psi is the ride factory?
2) when aired up how long do you find your going before you need to re fill to needed psi?
3) when aired up are you seeing a level...
This has been my experience as well. the Gen 6 I have on order is my 3rd new Toyota. my last one i essentially re branded to a Pro and put a tone of Pro parts on it from the dealer and they never refused this.
Glad to hear its not some new policy. Ill have to ask around at other dealers.
So im building my parts list up so when my TRD Off Road Premium delivers i can outfit the thing in 1 weekend with my goodies.
I decided on swapping out the factory suspension to the same suspension on the TRD Pro model. When i went down to the dealer to get pricing the woman at the counter...
the 450A is meant as powering things like winches directly off the 12V battery etc…. The under hood positive connection point will not handle 200-250 or more amps so the alternator can help kick in charging on the 12V system when such large draws are needed.
im absolutuly amazed at the changes i am seeing in the time i researched. Im still deep diving right now but it looks like the 4Runner platform is most definitely different from the standard hybrid platform they typically use. There is a DC charging system in the 4runner that does charge the...
Wow, thank you for sharing this. It is news to me. From my research there was no alternator on the hybrid, if they have added one, i am very curious.
I will research more and come back to this thread with my finding.
From my reading, The alternator is primarily charging the 1800 KW hybrid battery, the hybrid battery is what primarily charges the 12V battery.
I spend weeks in my rig when i go overlanding, im still waiting for my Gen 6 delivery but i researched the electrical system plenty to ensure the...
Beautiful set up. Looks like your running 285's on there. Am i seeing right? If so do you mind sharing the fitment issues if any? Is that a factory height or did you do a lift?
My name is Dan and I have been a avid overlander up here in Canada for about 10+ years. i upgraded to the 2019 4Runner brand new and put almost 200,000KM original on the thing (20,000 of that hard off road use). Im primarily an off grid camper so my rig sees more forest and swamp then rock and...
