One detail off, the membrane is on the door end of the boot not the vehicle end. You can pop both ends off the same way no problem but you probably only really need to open the door end, especially if you use something half stiff as a fish tool like a ziptie that you can push through bends. You...
I don't have a power lift gate either. SR5.
It is possible to run the wires through the large boot, then down the drivers side. There is a large black plastic cover to remove to access that area. No tricks to that just unscrew & remove. I used that big zip tie to help pull the wire through the...
I thought of that possibility, but it's off in any orientation including laying flat (the same as with the door open). If it's a tilt sensor, then it's a broken one.
However someone in another thread saidthe light is touch sensitive, they can touch it to turn it on & off. That could definitely...
I just received one and the light doesn't work, randomly goes on/off/dim with handling, mostly off, just occasionally on for a second.
No shipping damage, either physical or water. The wiring harness & connectors are good. I measured 12.8v at the solder blobs on the pcb while the light was off...
Let me clear up a small confusion with some 3d printing acronyms I used. Whoever you talked to probably has no idea anyway so this probably would have made no difference, but anyway...
There is no such thing as PLS.
There is something called PLA which is Polylactic Acid, The most common type...
I actually have a nice k1c with it's multi spool thing and better nozzle all still new in boxes out in storage, meanwhile what I actually use is this $100 ebay monoprice that I modded beyond all reason & running klipper. Just because it's so small and fits on a shelf right near me. I would have...
hah that does look pretty close alright. It's allowed to copy & even sell it, but the cc-by-sa license means you are supposed to make the source available and credit the original author. A simple link to the github would satisfy both. I don't see anything like that but it's also such a simple...
Maybe a good idea for a way to cover them without just looking like a cover that's almost as ugly as the original sticker, is something that folds open to block the sun lower. When it's folded up, it looks like a functional device and not just a cover, yet it does also cover.
I hate those too. Maybe there is some kind of paint or plasti-dip that will actually stick to the vinyl. But they are melted in, no chance to remove them, only cover them one way or another.
Hmm, I still have most of this left...
“Unfortunately, sometimes we launch a great vehicle, and we don’t have the necessary wiring hookups or a pilot holes to add accessories. And it’s kind of like an afterthought. Should be really upfront in the upstream part of the planning,”
I like this. I wish the 4R was better about this.
We...
Well I mean I did write right in the readme:
"This version is probably not good to print at home on a normal FDM printer because the tabs will likely break off.
So this is really only for getting commercially printed using SLS or MJF."
The default version is designed for FDM.
