Maybe a good idea for a way to cover them without just looking like a cover that's almost as ugly as the original sticker, is something that folds open to block the sun lower. When it's folded up, it looks like a functional device and not just a cover, yet it does also cover.

Well I mean I did write right in the readme: "This version is probably not good to print at home on a normal FDM printer because the tabs will likely break off. So this is really only for getting commercially printed using SLS or MJF." The default version is designed for FDM.
