No offense, and at one time I'd agree, and if your using it on a regular basis in the most severe applications go ahead and spend the money. But if your using it on a mid size SUV occasionally to snatch yourself or buddy out of a mud hole these new kinetics are more than enough...
Those prices for a light suv recovery set are insane. Much more economical recovery gear that will hold up just fine.

Can't speak to the WOLFBOX jumpbox with compressor, but I got the standalone WOLFBOX jumpbox and it has worked flawlessly, holds a charge a long time and is easy to store on board.

I actually didn't use my lockers on that climb but I probably should have, my rear just caught on the top of the rock, repositioned a little and ran right up it.
Simple roof rack tire carrier from Amazon, I did put small pieces of adhesive backed rubber strips where the tire lays against the rack. Worked great, didn't loosen in probably 400 offroad miles yet. It is loud with the sunroof open at hgwy speeds tho...
Just came back from a 300 offroad mile 5 day trip and hadn't noticed any sway or tippiness even when off camber, only thing I really noticed was a hit in mpg but that could have alot to do with the weight during the trip and how often it was in 4wd. I'll run it a few weeks as a daily and see how...
Thought I'd throw a couple quick vids of the advantages of the @Wolfbox TRI PRO bumper cam. You can see where you can lose the entire front view of where your going but the bumper cam let's you see where your tires are heading and allows you to pick a good line.
