Ok - good deal, appreciate the info! That was about my only concern with this setup. Beats dragging the spare around IMO and It’ll preserve the rear camera view which I’ve come to really appreciate. I guess I’ve come to terms with the mileage thing and the 6G.
Hey Archer - let me know how that works as far as your center of gravity goes. Does to feel tippy off camber? I’m thinking of doing that until I can figure out a solid solution for the rear cameras.
Truck looks great and looks like you all had a lot of fun! Used to live in Pueblo and spent lots of time off-road in that area and the Greenhorns in my old Powerwagon. The tunnel reminds me of the shelf road up to Cripple Creek. We’re headed up beginning of July to do the Alpine Loop.
I think the most important consideration is the amount of time on/off-road. The Toyo AT III is a great tire for on-road, up to moderate off-road, and wet conditions. I ran these for a while after the stock tires but needed a more aggressive tread for mud/rock so went a different direction. I...
Hey Travis! I was wondering how things were going with you. I think you’ll like this…a subtle note, tail pipe is tucked away and none of the resonance. Let me know if you go this route. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on it. Next project is the spare…I’ve been dragging it. lol… always...
Only 25? Well there’s still time. Obviously, this is a choice I make after dragging the stock exhaust because I actually take the vehicle off road. You not agreeing is your choice. If this bothers you, wait until you see what I do to compensate for the weight shift after I remove the spare from...
Yep - both the spare and the tailpipe…and the license plate holder which will come off next time I’m off road - just keep it on to keep DPS happy. Relocating the spare is the next issue, but that is much more involved and expensive to get right - I don’t want to lose the rear camera capabilities.
No fumes at all when sitting still - of course it’s a hybrid so the engine is rarely running when it’s stopped. When installed it’s angled down, just positioned closer to the axle and tucked - kinda’ like an axle dump exhaust. Not particularly concerned about fumes.
Added @SXTH Element Trail Pipe. Replaces stock resonator and tailpipe that was a major concern on steep departures. Very subtle, slightly deeper tone on cold start and acceleration. More importantly, absolutely zero drone or low frequency resonance in the 1500-2000 RPM range that I experienced...

Agree with Joestac - it’s good that there is an option. I love my TH and the elements that Toyota included - OME suspension in particular. That said, some of the best builds I’ve seen are Off Roads, Premiums, SR5s, etc. And Overlanddaddy is a great example of that. In fact, I really want to know...
Right?!? “Look honey…all this and everything was only 40 bucks. Here’s the receipt.” In all seriousness though, I think you’re right about the patient approach. The Expedition One is a great option but there is the cost factor plus weight considerations. Might have to run some Dobinsons if I...
