I find aspects of the Toyota app to be more annoying than they are useful. Under Health, it says "No Vehicle Alert" but I get notifications that literally says "2025 4Runner Hybrid has multiple vehicle alerts, please check app for more details". But tapping on the notification does nothing so you have no idea what it's complaining about.

It also tells me that I left the vehicle unlocked and windows are open when it's parked in my garage. You'd think there would be a way for it to know that it's in my garage. Who locks their car when it's in the garage?

Agree the app isn't all that useful. On your last point re: locking while in the garage, I've seen articles over the years that claim that the various monitoring computer-controlled systems in cars go into a low-power state once the doors are locked. So in other words, especially if the vehicle may sit for several days without use, you SHOULD lock your car when it's in the garage, to reduce idle power consumption. Whether it's also true that it extends battery life a bit even for daily-driven cars due to a longer-term incremental reduction in power consumption, I don't know.

edit: you post also reminded me to check whether the Toyota keyfob trick to shut off the fob transmitter also works with the 2025 4runner keyfob.

Would be nice to know if that's the case for this vehicle. That said, jeez, I just got the thing. It sure as hell isn't going to sit for several days without use. :ROFLMAO:
