Hey, so I’m new to this side of things as I’ve always had sports cars. I’m getting slightly confused on offset. I just purchased a 6G SR5 and I want to make it look a little more aggressive. I was thinking 1.5” level with 285/70/17 but when I look at wheel offset I’m not sure what would be best. I want a little poke nothing crazy but enough. When I look at buying wheels would a +18 or +15 offset with those size wheels provide that or do I have to go +0 since the stock is +44/55. Any help would be appreciated.

Can’t really discuss offset without mentioning the desired width of the wheel. Anyways, with the tire size you’re interested in, the following wheel size and offset will accomplish what you’re looking for. Look up mjmotorsports on IG (link below) to see specific examples. They post a ton of 4Runners and Tacomas with many different wheels along with their sizes and offsets to give you an idea of what works (and what doesn’t).

17x8.5” offset -10

All you need my friend is one website.
https://willtheyfit.com This will help you sort all your preferred options.

if your going to remain stock consider 285/70R17 with no more than of 17x8.5 ET20
Based on what your saying I would do 17x8ET25 or 17x8.5ET25 visit my build page to see those option on my 4Runner. Reach out if you need too I am happy to help.
