2026 4Runner TRD Off Raod
Hi,

Glad to be part of this group.

Own 2026 4Runner TRD Offroad...1200 miles so far. A few days after purchased...alignment was off, so I took it back and they aligned it to the 2025 specs. I noticed a slight drift to the right, so I asked for the rear specs which showed a 0.17 degree offset in rear thrust angle meaning the thrust vector was offset to the centerline of the vehicle. I asked for rear tow specs...they said Toyota does not have them because it is a fixed rear axle. Therefore, doing some math, 0.17 degree translates to 0.33-inch difference in center of rear axle to center of front hubs distance...enough to make the truck crab along the road. Toyota corporate was contacted and I got zero reasoning why my thrust angle was off. As such, they redid my alignment with 2026 specs and swapped the front tires (the old radial pull stunt) and sent me on my way. Now I notice a deadening thud or unexpected feeling through the steering column. Maybe the two issues are not related but I am a firm believer in hoofprints and horses. I see that others on the forum have similar issues. Sounds like another case of steering intermediate shaft assembly to me. Slightly felt of uneven terrain turning left at slow speed...any of this sound familiar? Also, the steering feels a little sloppy like maybe steering pump bushings are out of torque spec...really, really annoying to say the least.

Regards,
