OK wheel and tire nerds. Question for you...
I "inherited" a set of rims off of a 2019 Lexus GX. Living in the great white north, I was hoping to take the old tires off, and use these with a new set of winter tires. Everything about these wheels work, bolt pattern, using hub-centric rings to make up for the difference in center bore etc. But I went to test the fitment out, before ordering the new tires, and I realized the lug nuts don't fit with these rims. Essential the seat of the lug nuts are too wide for the rims. I found out that 2019 GX used 12x1.5 Lug nuts while the new 4Runners use 14x1.5 Lug nuts. At this point I have pretty much come to the conclusion that these wheel won't work because the studs take up too much space in the bolt holes of the rim. Unless its possible to get lug nuts with a narrower seat that would fit?
