So thought I would help everyone out by giving a report on my first road trip in my 2025 Off-Road Premium.
Had to take a trip from Lubbock to Dallas and back over the course of a couple days. I got abouty 20.5 mpg going to Dallas thanks to a SW tail wind, but that same wind knocked me down to about 19.5 mpg on the way back. It was four-lane road the entire way, with most of it being Interstate 20/30.
I have to day this was an enjoyable, comfortable trip, which for me is saying something as I am 6-5 and a little north of 300 pounds. But I was not uncomfortable at all aside from just being in the car for 10 hours combined to and from. It was easy to drive on the highway, steering was good and throttle was responsive when necessary.
Also, impressed with how it drove in the city streets in Dallas, which are narrow and bumpy. Coming from a pickup, this was night and day difference. Drove great, turning was awesome. No issues whatsoever.
I can also say that the adaptive cruise control and the lane-keeping assist are no joke. The LKA will give you some fight if you try to change lanes without your blinker on and if you stray too close to the line. The ACC was mint as it did not let me get close to any car I came up on without slowing down, and when a car moved in front of me without giving much room is slowed me down quick! I would have to get in the other lane just to keep up to speed, and I had to reduce the distance a couple of times. That was great in traffic with a lot of tractor-trailers on the interstate.
Also, I didn't have the shimmy in the steering wheel that some of noticed, and I did about 80 on the highways the whole time.
All in all, a good first experience and look forward to the next one.
Picture for reference (need to get some new ones).
