I have a roof rack that covers my shark fin antenna. Normally it does not seem to impact satellite radio reception very often. However, I place my fuel and water tanks on that portion of the rack and that does effect the reception. When I drive south or southeast bound I lose reception when the tanks are in place.
I have looked at relocating the shark fin antenna but it seems the cleanest way would be to access the XM antenna cable connection on the radio and just substitute a cheap XM magnetic antenna to place on the front roof in front of my rack.
Does anyone know how to access the antenna connections on the radio unit? Or even where the radio unit is?
Thanks in advance for any help!
