I currently own a 6th gen and 5th gen.
I've also had a 4th gen another 5th gen and several Tacomas as well. The 4Runner and Tacoma quality is worlds apart, which is why I'm back in a 4Runner. I agree with pretty much all of this, except the wheel shake, never heard of or experienced that? I do...
possibly asked and answered but I cant find it. Can I use the collars and NOT the 1/2" spacers? I dont want the full 2.5" lift since it'll put the front higher than the rear

Duration: 20-30 minutes.
Additional Weight: 1...
I took my trailer out finally, 2600lbs. Transmission temps were consistently 200-220 on the highways. Towards the end of the drive, I had about 11 miles of dirt road at 20mph and about 4 slow miles in 4hi and saw temps get as high as 235
Good to know! Are you watching temps with something like a scan gauge?
As a follow up to my previous post if anyone was wondering, I did find that part I pictured is in fact a transmission cooler, very small though.
Those with 2-3k lb trailers towing around the mountains, are any of you watching your transmission temps? What kind of numbers are you seeing?
I had an aux cooler on my 3rd gen Tacoma that kept me at or under 200F while towing. I haven't been out with my trailer yet since I want to get further...
Does anyone have some pictures of the Land Cruiser "TOYOTA" skid plate on their 4Runner? Any thoughts on quality/ durability of it versus the TRD aluminum skid?
