Has anything new happened with this? I recently saw my temps getting pretty hot in 4hi

Vehicle Speed: 5-10 mph ( twisty roads, slow going due to rocks off-road)

I took my trailer out finally, 2600lbs. Transmission temps were consistently 200-220 on the highways. Towards the end of the drive, I had about 11 miles of dirt road at 20mph and about 4 slow miles in 4hi and saw temps get as high as 235
Good to know! Are you watching temps with something like a scan gauge?
As a follow up to my previous post if anyone was wondering, I did find that part I pictured is in fact a transmission cooler, very small though.
Those with 2-3k lb trailers towing around the mountains, are any of you watching your transmission temps? What kind of numbers are you seeing?
I had an aux cooler on my 3rd gen Tacoma that kept me at or under 200F while towing. I haven't been out with my trailer yet since I want to get further...
Does anyone have some pictures of the Land Cruiser "TOYOTA" skid plate on their 4Runner? Any thoughts on quality/ durability of it versus the TRD aluminum skid?
