    I took my trailer out finally, 2600lbs. Transmission temps were consistently 200-220 on the highways. Towards the end of the drive, I had about 11 miles of dirt road at 20mph and about 4 slow miles in 4hi and saw temps get as high as 235

    Never messed with it since I have the scanguage. Is it just a bar gauge or does it give a number?

    Good to know! Are you watching temps with something like a scan gauge? As a follow up to my previous post if anyone was wondering, I did find that part I pictured is in fact a transmission cooler, very small though.

    Does anyone have some pictures of the Land Cruiser "TOYOTA" skid plate on their 4Runner? Any thoughts on quality/ durability of it versus the TRD aluminum skid?
