  1. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

I did not replace it yet. I found that the pocket on my jeans get caught on it when I am in a tight parking spot. I used a 4 inch piece of gorilla tape to cover that spot and it is holding well. The black tape is not noticeable.
  2. Gas gauge and low gas warning

Today I ran the tank to near empty to get to the cheapest station in the area. The warning light comes on at 20 miles remaining. It says I had 11 miles left. I filled the tank and topped it off at 17.75 gallons in a 19 gallon tank. So if you do the arithmetic I probably had about a...
  3. Power Tailgate Issue: leaving it open over night and the next morning it will not shut

I can see this at tailgating or a picnic when you want long access to the storage area. While not a fix you could try lowering the window before you open the door. That puts the weight of the window at the end and might help with pulling it down. I did that with my previous 4Rs when I had a...
  4. Is the 2026 Limited (Non-Hybrid) safe to buy now, or should I wait for 2027?

I love my 4runner. Bought it in July. Added a few things to protect it and organize the center console, mats. Love all the cameras making me a really lazy parker. I didn’t have any noise issues with rattles or brakes This was my first one with 3rd row seats. I find them worthless for...
  5. 3W Floor Mats Giveaway | What maintenance have you done for your 4Runner this month?

I have a box like that with the essentials for the road. Rain ponco, blanket, towels, jumper cables, air pump, plastic bags, bungee cord, tow rope, snow scrapers. It’s great to know I have them so it’s easy to use in an emergency but all together in the box so you can pull them out quickly if...
  6. 3W Floor Mats Giveaway | What maintenance have you done for your 4Runner this month?

Technically I put the rubber mats in and took out the cloth ones I use in summer. I always watch the tire pressure this time of year because when it gets cold the tires often need air.
  7. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

Yes. Chooses were full, partial and off. Trying partial settings for now
  8. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

OK. Thanks everyone for the feedback. I have come to the conclusion that the power seat when it goes all the way back to exit the vehicle causes me to brush against the door seal specially when in a parking lot where I am trying to protect the door from hitting something. I have patched the...
  9. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

Thanks. I use gorilla tape all the time. It is great and I already considered that. I was wondering if other people have noticed any wear on their door seal.
  10. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

Poor design that it wears out in 6 months of use. Hopefully there is better quality aftermarket ones.
  11. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

I was wearing a red jacket today and the lint rubbed off. That is what caught my eye and I noticed it (and said some words that I can’t post here)
  12. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

Not the seat itself. My butt rubs it when the automatic seat position goes back and I slide out.
  13. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

My butt/jeans rub as I exit the vehicle. I noticed it today because I was wearing a red sweatshirt and the lint rubbed off and caught my eye.
  14. Worn Driver side door seal after 6 months

Hello… long time lurker here but I have an issue now and seek advice. I got out of the car today and noticed the driver door seal was falling apart. 6 months of use. Looks like this is a contact point when the driver seat goes all the way back for exit. Dealer wants $375 to replace. Says it’s...
