  1. March 28-29 - Intro to Off-Road and Recovery course at Palo Duro Canyon

The class was so much fun! I learned a lot and built confidence in the 4Runner's capabilities. There were three 6th gen 4Runners (one TRD Pro and two ORPs), a Bronco, and a Tacoma, so we got a lot of Toyota-specific tips. The course instructor drives a 4Runner which was a nice perk. He was...

Wow, looks awesome! Would you mind messaging me the contact info for your fabricator (and how much this cost)? Interested in doing something similar.

  4. Mudbath 4Runner TRD Pro - In the Wild on Cross Country Trip to Off-Roading Classes!

Thanks for sharing! I was looking for classes in TX and did not come across Merus in my searches. I thought I might need to drive to NM/CO/UT to do something like this.

  6. DIY video: how to remove rear back seats (second row) from 2025+ 4Runner 6th gen

Yea, it was a lot easier to manage removal of the 40 side. For the 60, I contemplated laying it flat onto a blanket and pulling it out the rear hatch, but ultimately did ok with removing it via the door. If I reinstall the seats, I’ll likely get a helper and maneuver the seat in from rear.
  7. DIY video: how to remove rear back seats (second row) from 2025+ 4Runner 6th gen

Nope! When I had the back seats flipped up, I noticed there was a warning light on the dash. Haven’t seen it again since removing the seats.
  8. DIY video: how to remove rear back seats (second row) from 2025+ 4Runner 6th gen

Thank you for posting this video! It was my guide this afternoon.
  9. Reminder: you may be able to deduct the sales tax paid on your 4Runner purchase (US federal income taxes)

You’re welcome. The simple life is the good life! Maybe that deduction will come in handy next car purchase :)
  10. Reminder: you may be able to deduct the sales tax paid on your 4Runner purchase (US federal income taxes)

The "No Tax on Car Loan Interest" deduction is different from itemizing, and deducting, state and local general sales taxes.

  12. Out of State Purchase - Registration in TEXAS

I bought mine from a dealer in Pennsylvania and opted to handle taxes/title/registration myself in TX. Really glad I did because the clerk at the county tax office wouldn't accept the paperwork due to mileage discrepancies of five whole miles: The Odometer Disclosure Statement said the car had...
  13. Introductions & Welcome Thread đź‘‹

Hello from Austin, TX! My first 4Runner, a '25 ORP in Cutting Edge, is being delivered Monday. While my Pilot is a comfortable ride and has taken my pups and me on adventures in 27 states, I am looking forward to being able to explore further afield more confidently in the 4Runner. First order...
  14. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

Forums colliding! I thought this story sounded familiar, then realized I had read an abridged version of it on Plans :)
