sounds like good plan! I just picked up some cargo molle & pet barrier from Victory, all their stuff seems super solid. I ended up going 3/4 rack from Westcott Designs as want to leave it on.

Sorry to be dense... did you have to drill new holes in the box to line up with the crossbars, or because these aftermarket latches don't fit through the existing holes in the box?

Wondering what people have found mounting things like Thule cargo boxes to platform racks that have wider, flat crossbars.
The Thule attaches via "claws" that come out of the bottom and you open and close them with a handle inside the box. Not sure it can make secure contact with a bigger...
have same question... that was my concern also (the remove-ability, given the new design of the side rails). for cost of Yakimas can almost get a platform rack so am thinking may do that even though maybe overkill for what I'll use most of the time.

I had victory 4x4 crossbars on my 5G 4Runner and they have been great, very solid and low noise. The new ones look a bit less tamper-resistant given the Toyota redesign of the rails. Am going through the same research for a new 6G so will be interested to see what you find.
