  1. Bike Rack on 6th gen 4Runner - post your setups / recommendations

Assume you've found a solution, but just in case, RockyMounts make's an XL pin for their lock that came with my rack. Imagine it works with other locking mechanisms as well.
  2. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

It certainly took me longer than maybe it should have, but I’m here now!
  3. TRD Pro/Trailhunter Heritage Grille Swap (Upper & Lower Grill) on SR5, with part numbers

Man, this looks SO good! I had hoped to find a way to do this when I'd decided on an ORP instead of a Trailhunter, but not sure I want to go through the effort. Seeing yours and others in this thread makes it so tempting though!
  4. Bike Rack on 6th gen 4Runner - post your setups / recommendations

Will share more images with bikes soon, but I received my new hitch rack, RockyMounts GuideRail, this evening and absolutely love it. It's rock solid with extremely smooth movements, single-handed operation, and comes with a very beefy integrated chain/lock. Highly recommend.
  5. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

Sharing an update that came sooner than I'd planned! I installed skid plates yesterday and despite being told that my flat black TRD wheels on order were backordered, it turned out they had them after all and had those and some Wildpeak AT4W's installed today and all is right in the world. I...
  6. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

Beautiful shot and same here! Only wish I weren't on the opposite end of the state from it!
  7. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

So interesting. At least we've all begun to see the light in the end!
  8. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

It's actually a Timberleaf Pika Offroad and I'm biased but think they are the best for compact trailer camping!
  9. Hybrid Real World MPG (iForce Max) - post your model, specs, general driving conditions, results:

Thought I'd drop some info shared in my original post about my initial experiences in the first 1,000 miles in my hybrid ORP driving across Texas with a trailer. Averaged 16.9mpg while towing a ~2k lb. trailer. A small percentage of this was driving without the trailer in Big Bend NP and some...
  10. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

Thanks and same! My wife definitely laughed at me when I shared photos from our trip and there were so many of the 4Runner… but how useful now that I’m a member of this forum 😅
  11. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

Nope, they were very trusting and just had me mail the title+spare key once we got home. They had initially made the trade-in offer without a test drive given the trailer being attached, but we were very open about what was going on. The next morning we disconnected the trailer so they could...
  12. Bike Rack on 6th gen 4Runner - post your setups / recommendations

I've got a RockyMounts Guiderail on the way, which is another 2-bike hitch mount solution very similar to 1Up's options. I've had RockyMounts trays for years on other vehicles and was recommended this hitch rack by my brother who runs a bike shop in western Colorado near where RM's are made...
  13. Left for Big Bend in a Jeep... came home a 4Runner owner.

Hi all! At the encouragement of @Administrator, I am creating a thread to share the story of my first 4Runner (and Toyota!) that occurred under fairly unique circumstances. Like many here I'm sure, I had been eyeing the 6th gen 4Runner's long before their official announcement. Since launch...
  14. Introductions & Welcome Thread 👋

Hi all, first time Toyota and 4Runner owner here. After my Cherokee Trailhawk showed signs of transmission issues at the beginning of a camping trip last week deep into Big Bend country here in Texas, fate led me to finally pulling the trigger on a ‘25 ORP hybrid. It was a complicated scenario...
