Watched the video in the link, learned a few things. Doesn't seem related yet to my desire for a strong attachment point for the latch of a carseat. I'm not very satisfied with using the cargo links, it would be better to have something straight down and stronger.
Hi Guys,
For interest (haven't driven w/kids yet), I installed two forward facing carseats into the rear of my 4runner with third row. Not sure where I'm supposed to put the tethers? Only thing I found off the bat was the cargo tie downs, which is probably better than nothing.

Just thought I'd post up -- got myself a 2025 SR5 with 4x4, third row, and doormats. Better than my Prius I had been rocking for a decade...lol.
Now time to think about modifications...

My dealer actually showed me the this info too, thanks! I would have never known what I was looking at if I didn't see your post here. Your comment about never seeing invoice pricing didn't pan out in my case, I got an offer at ~$500 less than invoice. I bet Toyota has a holdback that you can...
Hi Guys,
Just to close the story here, I ended up negociating an offer ~8% under MSRP on a SR5 with 4x4. Only other options were third row seats & floor mats. Including their doc fee, it was ~$3600 off. My guess is that it was ~$500 less than their invoice price. They probably kept some few...
I'm not sure whether the 4runner has one, but anyone try pinning the transmission cooling thermostat open temporarily and repeating a climb known to cause an overheat event?
Could I trouble you for a direct comment on my replication of your math? When it comes to ~$45k, let's just say I have a case of separation anxiety.
I was able to find a dealer that was willing to match the highest discounts on that csv, but not beat. That might be a clue. SR5s can be had here...
Nodak, that was really helpful. Thank you for helping me.
As an example, just with rough numbers:
Per KBB, an SR5 ice cap with 4x4 and no other options has an invoice of $40799
Your options had an average invoice that was 87% of "retail", which I'll read as MSRP. A couple of the dealers at...
^Dealers are near the top of the list of advertised price. It's an SR5 with minimal options with 2-3k off MSRP. I have never bought a new toyota, so I'm not sure how much room there is negotiations.
Hi Guys,
New guy considering a 4runner. A couple of local dealerships have 4runners SR5 with 4x4 and the third row with ~2.5 to 3k below MSRP advertised as their price.
Just curious what people are getting in iterms of pricing recently? Not sure how much I can expect in the negotiation. I...
