I am finally picking up a new 4Runner on Friday, it is a TRD Off Road Hybrid Premium. This process has taken way to long because of deceptive pricing at dealership. The dealer I hoping to use near me never got the 4R in the color and trim I wanted. Sorry for going on a short rant about dealers...
In this situation if I buy from that dealer which is out state I would end up doing all the title and license myself even would have to go to DMV with the check for tax. By the way Nodak where do you live? I’m in Dickinson.
I drive semi and have for a number of years, I would be very surprised if it wasn’t a simple fix with a computer hooked up. That is how the mechanic did it on our semis they would just take the tire height and input that number in the computer and the speedometer would be adjusted.
I’m not much in that way to where I keep on adding. I put nicer looking wheels on my tundra and that was it. I don’t even try very hard to keep it clean anymore it gets a bath about 2 times a year.
interesting about the key, Did you replace the batter? My mom has a rav4 and has had no problems with hers. Good to hear about the comparison in the engine and power.
I don't expect them to be perfect, I just want to know what to expect. Maybe I got a little spoiled with my Tundra almost 100,000 on the odo and other than routine maintenance I have spent less than $4000 on odd stuff going wrong.
I didn't think about your answer more closely till now. The one I'm looking at is north of you about 60 miles I think. Did you pay the doc fee in that state? The dealer wants a $689.50 doc fee I'm thinking about asking them to bring the price down $800 even though they discounted from msrp. I...
I recently did this with my 2012 Tundra key less entry and have had zero problems. If it acts up then worry about replacing, just carry your second one for a while.
I'm deciding now on a 4R please let me know what if any problems you have had? Especially with the engine and hybrid system. Also any other problems with electronics. Literally anything that has been a headache and if you have had to take your ride back to the dealer for repairs including...
That is one of the reasons this such a hard decision. I will eventually need a different vehicle and for me the 4Runner fits that need but they are so expensive now. So if I do this get it done and pay it off ASAP so things are not a struggle in a few years.
Just a side note when I did the math and yes I have a calculator that can do the specific math. The dealer offer on a financing rate was between 10.4% and 14%. There are several YouTube channels that deal with auto buying and financing, I will pass this along because watching videos has helped...
I agree about being careful with any financing that is why I asked. The bank I’m using has always treated me very well. My payment will be $750 or so but that will be after a 10,000 down payment and the shortest loan term I fell comfortable with. Even then I will be paying this off in about 2...
Yeah I understand that is why I was asking seems like things are crazy right now with the car market and possible tariffs. Toyota is offering 4.99% on some vehicles but not the 4Runner the dealer was between 10.4 and 14% but they didn't give me those numbers I had to figure them out. My local...
