I couldn’t find how anyone mounted an awning on the stock cross bars since everyone instantly goes with aftermarket roof racks so I decided to yolo it. Feels sturdy enough… I think.
Tape and a 3m double sided adhesive thingy on the plastic clip lol. I removed the tape and the headliner looks fine. It was lopsided since the day I installed it and 10k miles later its still there with the original tape. (pic is from today 8/17)
My driver and passenger door both have a tiny air bubble in the bottom corner that dried with exposed metal :( and the paint on the passenger door is chipped on places that are unlikely to be hit by road debris and too high up to be hit by somehow dinging another car.
Anyone know what this is? I did it a 2nd time on purpose to hear it again. It sounds like a grind coming from both wheel wells (dashcam audio isnt as grindy as it was in person) Everything looked completely fine and nothing felt wrong when driving later. I'm just never gonna do 100% full lock...
