  1. Trailhunter snorkel removal & install TRD Performance cold air intake (CAI) system?

I love the car hate that friggin snorkel so much that I’m going to dump this car. I am on a road trip as I write this. I’m the passenger but it’s my car. The weather is beautiful, the mountain air is fresh, and the music is great. Problem? Can’t open my window because of that friggin snorkel...
  2. New Trailhunter Missing Air Compressor Parts

Make sure you have your air compressor bag with hose and parts. I purchased my Trailhunter on 7/3/2025, contacted Toyota and the dealership a few days later about the missing parts and still don’t have them. Today is August 11, 2025.
  3. My 5th Gen vs. my new 6th Gen 4Runner comparison IMHO

BTW congrats on your new family member :)
  4. My 5th Gen vs. my new 6th Gen 4Runner comparison IMHO

I love my Trailhunter. Drove to Vegas to buy a Lexus. That should tell everyone it is a luxury vehicle. It satisfies my need for speed, and gives me a new hobby - off-roading.
  5. Puddle lights installed (Trailhunter projection light)

Thanks again for posting. I love it! Super cool. Once it was in I started singing “it don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that bling”. My husband laughed and shook his head. Too funny.
  6. Hood protector / bug deflector by Husky Liners (installed pics & review)

Wow nice! I priced PPF and ceramic coating and it is way too pricy for me. I have the Trailhunter in underground also and your pics were very helpful. I do have a question about the bottom front of your truck because mine is different. Look at my pic. Is that something you installed or is it a...
  7. Puddle lights installed (Trailhunter projection light)

I ordered mine too quickly. A few moments later and I would have seen your post. I would have saved a couple bucks.
  8. Puddle lights installed (Trailhunter projection light)

I like them! They illuminate the door so I can get in and out of the vehicle easily. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve opened the door, in the rain, on a moonless night, and stepped into a muddy puddle while wearing my dress shoes! That dinner/play/party just doesn’t feel the same in wet...
  9. Puddle lights installed (Trailhunter projection light)

They are rock sliders and you cannot get your footing. There are many posts on the 4g forum about running boards. I’m waiting until I’ve gone off roading a few time before I decide. I’m leaning towards the electric, auto running boards that extend when you open the door. They have them on the...
  10. Puddle lights installed (Trailhunter projection light)

I ordered them! It will be my first modification as well. They are definitely standard equipment on a luxury car… And very useful on those “no moonlight” nights. Thank you very much for sharing.
  11. Trailhunter 4Runner photos in Utah - first couple times off-road

I love my Trailhunter! I’ve had 4 wheel drive, but never one to go off-roading. The learning curve is very steep, and tons of fun! “Definitely want to get some more flexible mudflaps for this thing.” Please post when you do. I’m thinking I need them too. “Overall I love this thing, it feels...
  12. Strange thumping/vibration feedback coming from left strut/suspension area into steering wheel

I have no idea why this was related to the clump noise, or why I could first hear and feel it as a passenger in a new car. Obviously I’m not a mechanic, that isn’t my field of expertise. It was consistent for 20 years and now it’s gone. Go figure? Without fail, while accelerating to get on the...
  13. Strange thumping/vibration feedback coming from left strut/suspension area into steering wheel

As I was reading this thread I realized this sounds EXACTLY like the issue my parents had with their brand new, and very expensive, Toyota. I helped them with the purchase. When I first heard and felt the “clunk” I immediately thought it was the transmission. I worried that one day my...
  14. 2025 4Runner Trailhunter is VIRTUALLY UNSTOPPABLE (off-road review)

Nice to see the Trailhunter challenged in loose rock, large rock., steep grades, water, etc. A well rounded video. I wish you had towed a camper to the trailhead. That would have completed this review very nicely.
