My 2017 ORP is way smoother on the road than my 25 OR. Power and steering are way better in the 6th gen but that new frame is so stiff it absolutely kills the ride quality.
Should be a pretty straighforward swap. If I were you I would ask toyota for an extended warranty which they will give you after this and then drive your truck and forget about it.
Hi I ended up selling the truck. A $5k lesson in why you don't buy first year vehicles. The absolute lack of support from Toyota makes me never want to buy another Toyota vehicle.
if the service ticket says they gave you a new transmission then they gave you a new one. Toyota is not going to write a special software for just one individual vehicle.
I agree with CrispyTaco, I would lemon law that thing and be done with it. As far as the transmission, it is without a doubt the worst driving transmission I've ever had in over 30 years of driving. Driving under 20mph is horrible. Transmission bucks, jerks, slams, and jolts. My RPMs are all...
I went back to the dealer and they told me they couldn’t recreate any of my problems. I’m very disappointed in the whole experience. When I went to pick up my truck I asked to go on a drive with the tech and they told me NO there is no time. I got a pair of crush washers and a quart of...
Yea makes sense but should there really be that much slack on a brand new vehicle? Maybe I’ll try greasing the driveshaft and see if that helps. I really want to check the transmission oil condition and level but not sure if it’s a good idea with warranty.
Hello, long time listener first time poster!! I picked up my TRD Off Road non-hybrid in March and just crossed 7k miles. I have always felt that the transmission feels very choppy in low gears. In city driving I get lots of jerking and bucking movement when coming on and off the gas. One thing I...
