Wow after hearing yāallās stories, I think Iām
Lucky haha. Of course I could make a mistake doing it, but Iād rather own up to it than have to fight a shop.
I had a bad experience with my 89 Corolla after a shop changed the oil. They left the oil filler cap off and oil spilled everywhere in the engine bay. Since then, just been doing them all myself.
We did the trail up to Steel Knob/Chestnut mountain. That was pretty fun and tested out some of the features pretty good. Iād recommend it. Of course there are the usual trails, Charlieās Creek, Sarahās creek. Etc. We also took a few side trails off of Nimble Will road south of Elijah, there...
Iām going from a 02 F350 diesel. Agreed on the cloud feeling! Been thinking about going to 295 also, but I have such a hard time getting new tires when the ones I have are still in good condition.
Doing it yourself you would only save $1000. Seems like an ok price to me to install the lift balance and mount tires + alignment. From what I know lift kit is pretty easy to install but Iāve never done it personally on a 4Runner. Only installed a ford truck lift kit.
My wife and I were planning to do the wind River high route (skurka) in July this year, but instead we got lucky and will have a baby in October instead. Sounds like weāll have to wait until the baby can carry his own weight lol.
I have a 60% related question, has anyone found exterior Molle panels that are made to attach to the stock ARB roof rack that comes with the trail hunter? I have found āuniversalā ones but all the others are made to attach to that companyās roof rack, Gobo, Cali, prinsu, etc all attach to...
Finally got around to giving the trail hunter a good wash after our adventure. Had light pinstripes from some of the trails but not anything too bad, however did find some decent damage to the rim. Not sure when that happened. You can also see where it rubbed the tire sidewall too.
I noticed several dings and scratches pretty quickly after we bought the 4Runner. Seems like the paint is pretty soft. PPF might be worth the investment if youāre planning on keeping resale value on the paint.
Great picture on the ledge! That looks like a fun trip. Iāve been wanting to do some hiking in Cascades (but I live in GA). Maybe a road trip is in order!
