  1. Insurance wants to total car

Yeah the 25k limit on damages seems strange to me. I always thought their insurance pays me the total amount and if they only elected for 25k then the insurance makes their person pay the difference. In general I think most insurance is a scam.
  2. Insurance wants to total car

I kind of thought the same. As valorum was 5.5k alone.
  3. Insurance wants to total car

If I buy a used one with similar miles for 65-70k, I’ll still have taxes and dealer fees and Ad Valorum tax which adds up to ~15k, so maybe 25k was an embellishment but that’s about what we have paid into the current one
  4. Insurance wants to total car

We were not at fault but the other persons insurance has a 25k maximum payout for property damage. So I was told I needed to file under my insurance because the remaining balance would be covered under under insured drivers coverage on my policy. The total will be over 25k when you factor in...
  5. Insurance wants to total car

I mean they have to replace the entire wiring harness for one little connector that’s not hard wired to the harness. It makes no sense to me. I also don’t know how insurance works very much but to total a 65,000 car for 24,000 seems off to me. Maybe I’m just too emotionally invested. We have...
  6. Insurance wants to total car

Hey all. I could use a little help. We had a minor accident where someone hit my wife in a round about. The damage seemed fairly minor but insurance is saying they will total the car. The body shop quoted $24,600 to fix everything. The main item that is causing it to be so expensive is one of...
  7. Trip to Horseshoe Dam AZ 1/28

This brings back some good memories. I had a camping trip here with my family when I was probably 10. We went to bed on a nice calm night and woke up to 2ft of snow the next morning. I don’t think my parents checked the weather because we did snow camping plenty, but this time we packed up and...
  8. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

Wow after hearing y’all’s stories, I think I’m Lucky haha. Of course I could make a mistake doing it, but I’d rather own up to it than have to fight a shop.
  9. Do you change your own oil or have Toyota service center do it?

I had a bad experience with my 89 Corolla after a shop changed the oil. They left the oil filler cap off and oil spilled everywhere in the engine bay. Since then, just been doing them all myself.
  10. Has anyone used POR 15 undercoating?

I used POR15 on my 69 mustang for undercoat. I’d recommend it. Time consuming though for sure.
  11. Burns Canyon Side Quest

Looks like fun! I was also surprised how well the 4Runner did on some similar trails I’ve been on.
  12. Georgia, Georgia

We did the trail up to Steel Knob/Chestnut mountain. That was pretty fun and tested out some of the features pretty good. I’d recommend it. Of course there are the usual trails, Charlie’s Creek, Sarah’s creek. Etc. We also took a few side trails off of Nimble Will road south of Elijah, there...
  13. Murdered out / blacked out TRD ORP on 2" Rough Country level lift, 275/70R18 Destination XT tires

Does your Toyota emblem Light up? That would look pretty slick from a rear view. The tires and offset look perfect!
  14. Post your Mileage (Odometer)!

    I just hit 5K yesterday.
  15. Dogs / Pets ride-along photos thread! 🐾

    They love going on trips
  16. Exterior MOLLE Panels compatible with stock Trailhunter Roof Rack

Let me know what they say. It says Factory Roof Rails.
  17. Exterior MOLLE Panels compatible with stock Trailhunter Roof Rack

I just saw Rago just released some that attach to the stock rack and they look slick...
  18. Black Trailhunter Wheels + 295 BFG KO3 + Wescott lift on 2025 4runner Limited

I’m going from a 02 F350 diesel. Agreed on the cloud feeling! Been thinking about going to 295 also, but I have such a hard time getting new tires when the ones I have are still in good condition.
  19. Rate this setup for a new 98% On-road and 2% Off-road build!

Doing it yourself you would only save $1000. Seems like an ok price to me to install the lift balance and mount tires + alignment. From what I know lift kit is pretty easy to install but I’ve never done it personally on a 4Runner. Only installed a ford truck lift kit.
  20. Washington trail photos

That’s amazing! Thanks for sharing the photos. Now I really want to go.
