I towed a 4000 lb trailer up the Coquihalla Hwy in BC (the "Highway thru Hell") with very steep grades (some sections range from 8%-12%) on 87 Octane and it fared waaay better than my '03 Lexus LX 470 V8. Worked hard through the steepest sections but had no problems overall. I have the ORP...
I've owned my ORP since late May and often have adults in the back. It's tight for sure. I'm 6'2", anyone over 6 feet tall sitting behind me is gonna need me to move my seat forward a bit. But we manage just fine.
Hey...so I took it to the dealer twice:
They initially said it was a wheel balance issue and claimed to have balanced the wheel and to have taken it for a test drive and the "vibration was all gone!" *eye roll* Of course the issue remained...my suspicion is they didn't do anything at all...
@KRunner Thanks for the note! It's quite similar, except I don't have a clunking noise and it's not when decelerating. It's the constant haptic vibration tho that has also been noted in the thread.
I'm thinking maybe mine is in the "early stages" of failure and will soon begin clunking...
Hey I see this is an older thread, but have been searching for similar issues. I have an Off Road Premium hybrid and have had it since late May.
I noticed pretty early on what I call a haptic vibration in the steering column and feel it at all times in the steering wheel, save for driving less...
Just installed my Tekonsha P2 Prodigy using my 304100 harness. I was originally gonna mount it higher up, below the Aux buttons (see first pic) but it impeded my knee getting in and out, so mounted it lower. Still easily reachable if a manual adjustment is required and more out of the way...
Just to put this to bed: I also spoke with Tekonsha directly today and they were super helpful. The 3041 harness also includes the addition of a diode to only send the signal to the controller. If you use a 3040 harness on a 2014 and newer 4Runner, it'll cause your ABS light to turn on...
Thanks for that info. I looked at the pictures on the Tekonsha site again after reading your comment and sure enough the ground wire is visible only with the 304100...hiding in plain sight!
Hey all,
I'm trying to source a wiring harness for my Tekonsha P2 brake controller and it's proving to be a challenge here in Canada. According to an earlier post in this thread, the Tekonsha 304100 harness works for the 2025 4Runners, although the Tekonsha website still only indicates it's...
Just an update: I reset the fuel average / trip counter at 400 miles. I'm at 600 miles (1000 kms) now and MPG has improved to 18.5 (12.6 L/100 kms) with mostly city driving during that span and still in the break-in period. So things are improving...and it seems like the actual MPG is better...
I read somewhere that the battery is designed to stay at about half full give or take as it maximizes the life of it. So far for me it's stayed been between 3 and 6 bars.
I'm about 400 miles on othe ODO (600 kms) and am getting a dismal 16 MPG combined city and highway (14.8 L/100 km). Off Road Premium hybrid. Light on the gas pedal, driving in Normal mode, 87 octane, 37psi tires, stock. On my second tank...hopefully things improve after the break in period.
I...
hey - any idea what the part number is for the panel you removed in your last pic?
I believe it houses the trailer light and power running board switches should your truck have those options and is on the left side of the dash?
I'm hoping to order another one so I can cut it up to install my...
