Hello. I had the same issue. The cross bars move but not enough. It’s the rails that would have to move forward towards the front of the truck and that unfortunately is not possible. It really sucks to have to buy a $1000+ roof rack when the stock one should just work. :/
I didn’t realize that there was not pre drilled holes until reading this and now putting my real plates on. The dealer must’ve drilled the holes before I even saw the car and they mounted their dealership license plate holder. Super lame.
Ahh, that would be awesome except I don’t have a power back gate. I’ll try the first way, but I don’t think it’ll work. Thanks for sharing that video though. I’ll keep searching for answers! :)
I did actually adjust the feet too and I just couldn’t make it work. I hope there is a way that I overlooked. I’d love to know how to adjust the tailgate to open 90%.
Here’s a pic of my attempt at the rooftop box. I can’t get the feet to match the crossbars without pushing the box back further.
Hi! Which rooftop box do you use? I was gifted one and it's a Yakima 16 cubic ft and I can't get it to fit. The rails are too far towards the back of the vehicle and the tailgate will hit the box when I open it. I even adjusted the cross bars to try to solve this issue but no luck.
Hey, thanks for posting your pics. Your tires look badass! Are you still not experiencing any rubbing or anything? I saw that you said you were still going to get a lift, is that just because you want one or because you need more room for the tires? I'm in the market for new tires for my TRD...
