Fair question! Unfortunately my wife didn’t like the lifted look (it’s her primary), so we swapped these out to go back to stock height with other struts & the matching rear shocks.
You’re welcome! Funny you mention the clunking. For me that has subsided & isn’t present on most drives.
Now what I constantly experience is mostly in line now with what you described. Much more of feeling then anything audible.

I plan to bring mine back to the dealer in...
You might be describing the same issue that I & a few others reported here a few weeks back. Apparently one owner successfully had their dealer replicate the issue & they determined it was a defective steering column shaft. I haven’t got mine fixed yet. First time I brought it in to my dealer to...
Took my TRD ORP off-roading for the day. Westcott preload collar lift w/ 275/70r18 Nitto Terra Grappler G3s on the factory TRD ORP 18” rims!
Did extremely well on some challenging green trails
I have that issue. Took me a bit to correlate it to the AC clutch or compressor kicking on. Definitely quite the “shake” it produces, but I guess it’s “normal” from the standpoint that many others have reported it on the 4Runner & Tacoma..

I am going to try & bring mine back to the dealer in the next few weeks. The OPs work order should help. Hoping Toyota has a technical bulletin for this by then
Thanks so much! I’m yearning for that same feeling & relief. It’s been driving me crazy these past few weeks as I’ve been trying to figure out what the root cause was.
What complicated matters was I had a leveling kit installed shortly before this issue started becoming more prevalent. So...
Would you be opposed to describing the symptoms in more detail? I feel like I may be experiencing a similar or the same issue.
I can feel a downstream “clunk” during normal driving in the steering. It seems like something is loose but everything in the suspension is confirmed by my dealer to be...
That makes sense! Thanks. Appreciate your input.
Yeah, I don’t see any paint markings on the springs that would have allowed them to realign the springs exactly back to the OEM positioning after they installed the Westcott precollar & reassembled the strut.
And to your point, it does appear...
Thanks for the reply!
Is that a best practice for spring install?
Also, I had thought the pre collar on the bottom was able to be adjusted. Is that not the case? The orientation is pre set?
thanks!
