Yep spot on. Solid axles on coilovers, with lots of travel is the reason for the rocking ride, and also the off road prowess. There is no substitute. I find the T4R great for overlanding. The 4xe was quick and lots of fun. I did a lot of city all e- driving. Saved a lot on fuel, enjoyed the...
I too have had many Jeeps spanning over 30 years (list below). I drank the Kool-aid, got ducked, went on Jamborees, joined clubs and had a great time. Over those years there were many advancements and justified price increases, but as I went to terminate my lease the value was down as a result...
So the difference is the ring terminal/ additional ground wire. I did talk to Tekonsha before with the same question and the answer was that the system puts out more power. Next version they added the additional ground for protection
Agreed that is a great solution. There was an PIO to add a set of cargo lights to the back on the d-pillar, but having the 3-row I was waiting to see if they are 3rd row compatible and worth the $375. I like your $16 solution better.
Former Jeep owner. Had Jeeps for 32 years; made the switch. I looked at every make, and none compared and/or hade the value, for what I was looking to do with the 4Runner. I need it to tow 3.5k, carry up to 7 passengers, camp/overland, and light offroad.

I plan to put it to the right, next to the console. I would prefer not to drill for the bracket. What I had in my JLUR was a center console tray that I put the controller in.
I used the same Tekonsha part that the 2024 used. Plug-and-Play if you will. Tekonsha Harness
I dont have a Redarc to test with, but it seems that this would be my start if was going to. Redarc Harness
That the plug for a brake controller is there and it works and wired correctly. All major brands that made stuff for the '24 should work with the '25. Cause it worked with mine. There was a doubt that the '25 that didnt have the tow package had the harness to connect to.
Plugged in!
Pull this out port ways to detach clips, then aft to slide tabs out.
There's a place to ground on, right above the right terminal in the picture. I put an additional M6 10mm nylock nut to sandwich the terminal. For now I removed a button blank and fed the plug through till I locate...
I have the same tire; very street oriented. No complaints so far. Trying the tires out till they can't do the job or wear out. Then I'll upgrade to an AT.
I had 2 Diono Radians that came over from my Wrangler, front and rear facing. In both we could put a 3rd person in the middle, but the 4Runner was a huge gain. Rear facing doesn't last forever, but ride quality is pretty permanent. Tough decision, wish you the best.
@Kokorone I took a look at the pinout for the G6-4R vs the G5-4R and they look different so the 304100 wont work. But I still have a Tekonsha harness from my JLUR 4xe. So I took it apart. Going to see if a 304100 connector fits and rewire if it does. Does anyone know this connector type? (see...
@Kokorone and @Gastan I read the book! It clearly states that this is the wire. Has anyone done any further testing. I was going to look at the pinouts for the 304100 from Tekonsha and see if it looks right. I ordered the RF, but I already had the P3. hopefully I can figure it out. Wish the book...
