I have about 1000 miles on my gas off-road premium. I’m old as dirt and I drive very conservatively, I glide to the stop signs and I accelerate slowly and steady. I get about 16.7 MPG. I drive mostly short distances seldom on the highways. I used to get about 15-16 on my 2016 f4runner.

You can get a 7 seater 4Runner but then there’s not much cargo space. I think a van would be more comfortable riding if you have to go distance.

I always thought that you’re supposed to change the oil every six months or 5000 miles whichever comes first. A Toyota guy at the service department said that I should change my oil at least every six months even if I drive it only 1 mile.
