Yea seems like my options are 12v wired blankets or rechargeable ones. God forbid I try to use the ports in the car without things being overly complicated…
Its your front brakes. Theres a TSB out for this issue, I had to get my brakes replaced as well. Its a cosmetic issue only and isnt a sign of an issue developing. I'd take a video of it and take it to your dealership. Right after a car wash worked best for me when recreating the noise. Hope this...
Anyone figure out a brand or can link a heated throw blanket that can work with the 120v plugs in the 4Runner? I’ve tried one from Walmart and one from target that are both 110v blankets and when you plug them in the car they just blink and don’t function. 120-110 adapters don’t seem to exist...
Hey guys, I’ve been dealing with a rapid ticking noise originating from the vents underneath the screen. It sounds like plastic of some sorts quickly vibrating, and is not associated with speed of the vehicle (I hear it sub 40mph too). Dealership told me they have to remove the entire front dash...
I removed mine and bought this

super high quality and I bought a hitch lock for it so it doesn’t get stolen (lock not pictured)
dude mine told me I had to leave the car there for a couple of days so they can recreate the noise. If it doesn’t make the noise for them they won’t repair it.
Had a service appointment today at the dealership and asked them about the qc hold, I was told it was for “clips breaking off” which I took as the clips for the air dam
I got forced into buying that 30 dollar coin/ash holder from the dealership when I bought the car back in March… I currently have 4 cents in it. Eventually it’ll hold its value in coins ?
I agree and I canceled my appointment. I felt like taking apart the dash would create more issues than it would fix. Also, the noise stopped by itself and I haven’t heard it in a few weeks, hoping it stays that way
So I actually put a black one on the front of my orp from Toyotas site. It comes as a stackable piece that goes over the chrome one. I’ve ran it through 3 car washes so far and it’s holding up pretty well

“There was a rattling noise coming from the AC control area. Will need to start with removing the interior trim pieces and adding foam to reduce the rattle noise”
gotta go back in a week..
