  1. How much is too much tow weight?

That's bigger than my X213, and I wouldn't pull that with anything less than a full-size truck, maybe a LWB SUV like a Suburban. 4R + NOBO 20.7 is not a good match for actually going anywhere. I would look for a nice small hybrid, like a Shamrock 17e or an under-20 e-Pro. Or a Sequoia
  2. TRD Sport - downsizing 20” wheels to 18”

Have you thought about just swapping the tires to a 275/60R20? That's a super common 1/2ton truck size (economical).
  3. Bilstein 5100 Suspension Lift Kit on 2025+ 4Runner 6th Gen

Seems to me like a simple 5100 would be step down from the Bilstein piggyback shocks that already come on the OR.
  4. REDARC trailer tow brake controller harness & control knob installed

I have the cheaper redarc controller. It works well, except for situations where you are moving slowly, while holding the brake steady- there's a brake-hold function that engages and clamps down on the trailer brakes.
  5. I'm suing Toyota => TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX missing hands-free power liftgate

Per page five of the Product specification sheet... 2025_Toyota_4Runner_Product_Information-NPP.pdf the "Hands-free power liftgate" is [O]ptional on the OR (non-premium) trim. I understand that the website doesn't then list it as an option, but the [BUILD] portion of the website is not...
  6. TRD Pro on 37's! Lifted using Sequoia TRD Pro suspension - build by Westcott

With a suspension designed for a vehicle thats 700lb heavier, the 4R should handle any weight added to it pretty well.
  7. Installed on SR5 no lift: 285/70/17 Wildpeak AT4W tires on +25mm Wheels (Icon Alloys Recon SLX 17x8.5)

I had that exact tire on our JK. No complaints. You can hear them, but not intrusively. Good in snow and rain. Can't speak to handling- Jeep thing.
  8. Limited over TRD Sport Premium?

Unless you REALLY gotta have the the TRD grille and hood scoop, the Limited over the Sport P, no question. The Full-time 4wd, proper leather seats, standard sunroof for $500.
  9. Aftermarket Trailer Brake Controller -- DIY how-to install instructions

I have the Redarc Liberty in my Silverado. Had to buy the generic pigtail and wire it to the pigtail that came with the truck- careful- red and black are backwards. works like a champ.
  10. 4Runner Trailhunter vs. Land Cruiser vs. GX550 Overtail+ Specs & Capability Comparison

The GX OT can be had for $72k with the sunroof delete. I think the Landcruiser is down on features in this comparison. I think it compares more direct with a 4R OR-P hybrid.
  11. Cargo Area Dimensions: [Non-Hybrid] with & without 3rd row seats -- Measurements (Length, Width, Height)

I didn't see it, so my apologies if I missed it, but did we get a measurement from the 1st row seat backs to the tailgate with the 2nd and 3rd row folded? would seem like a drawer platform even with the folded 2nd row would be the winning setup.
  12. Westcott Aftermarket 2025 4Runner 6th Gen Build Complete w/ Pre-Collar Lift Kit, 35's

Would be curious to know what the max spare tire size will fit in the stock location.
  13. Video: reclining rear seats, 3rd third row seats, moonroof, removable JBL speaker, 2400W / 120V inverter (from press drive)

Page 6 of 2025_Toyota_4Runner_Product_Information.pdf says 400W Standard on S/SP and optional on OR/ORP/L.
  14. Factory Wheels & Tires (OEM) Offsets, Bore, Sizes, Widths, Brands -- 2025 4Runner 6th Gen

The Toyota data sheets are notoriously buggy. The bigger SR5 wheels go along with the bigger brakes on the 4Runner. All 4Rs get the 13.2/13.4 rotors, while Sr/SR5 Tacomas get smaller front brakes, and only Hybrid Tacos get the bigger rear brakes.
  15. Fuel capacity / gas tank size is 19 gallons (71.9 liters) + Regular Fuel for 2025 4Runner 6th Gen

I think it goes back to the LC being a "premium" product, and there may be some NVH targets that it won't meet on 87Reg.
  16. Fuel capacity / gas tank size is 19 gallons (71.9 liters) + Regular Fuel for 2025 4Runner 6th Gen

The 19gal tank is annoying, because the GX gets a 21gal tank in the same wheelbase. The extra capacity would be nice, but wouldn't be worth the expense/work for the swap. Product specs call out regular fuel. ( 2025_Toyota_4Runner_Product_Information )
  17. Introducing 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Convertible Surf Concept

That thing looks absolutely amazing! I had an '85 4R, sprayed dark blue w/ black bumpers. This concept hits the nail on the head perfectly.
