This is honestly poor handling by Toyota, and unacceptable. They should've had a hard date cutoff and just built cars as 2026 long ago. BMW starts that process in ~July! I don't think it's ok to buy a brand new car fresh from the factory that's already out of date by a year.

I'm beating myself up over not buying a Trailhunter that was offered to me last month. I assumed we'd have 2026's by now, or November at the latest. It's looking like that won't happen until the Spring 😭

there's no way that can be right, can it?? I imagine we'll see 2026's in November at the latest, or I'm going to feel really bad about turning down my opportunity at a 2025 Trailhunter in early September 😭

These look so much better than the stock 265s. I'd want to do this on my Trailhunter when I get it, but I'm worried about sound insulation, rust, etc. :/

Fair enough! It's too bad the 4R doesn't have lane change assist (afaik). IMO, that's more useful than TJA. Our Lexus NX that we'll be getting rid of for the 4R has it, and we love that feature.

I know for sure it doesn't do hands free, and it doesn't do the "follow without lane markings". I don't think it has the extended start timeout, but I don't have my car yet to confirm. You can check the driver assist settings to see if there is such an option. If you don't have it, you don't...

There are some differences. For one, TJA allows hands free up to the max speed (I think it's 40km/h). It also follows the car ahead even if there are no lane markings. Additionally, it allows start from stop for much longer periods of time. For all of those things, the driver attention camera...

Looks great! do you get any rubbing at full lock/articulation? Did you have to do any mods to the fenders etc.?
