There are at least a couple different vendors of steel skids for the lower links. I have skids on the front A-arms, rear shock mounts, and rear lower links. Frontmost lower link skids were on back order but on the way soon.
I went with the same vendor for all of those skids, due to cost...

Based on some posts in other forums and around the web, I gather that the 5th gen 4WD had 6 zerks (3 front [one slide yoke + two joints], and 3 rear [one slide yoke + 2 joints]).

I am trying to do this. Dropped front skid plate to acess space behind front bumper plastic to adhere either magnets or metal there. Got my arm up in took a few pics with phone. There are some plastic obstructions (e.g., appear to be female housing for wire harness clips - empty on my ORP)...
Also, RCI offers three separate plates: Engine (front), transmission, and transfer case (includes steel cross member). So for PT228-35248, named "Transfer Case Skid Plate", does it cover transfer case only, or both transfer case and transmission?
Anybody know the specs on the Toyota OEM transfer case skid plate PT228-35248? Specifically, material (aluminum vs steel), and weight? No useful info with the Toyota Parts Online listing, and I have not found any elsewhere either.
Are the LCA skids CBI too? If so, are they the ones listed on their site for 24 - 25 Tacoma? How is the fit? Was the install straight forward or any caveats?
