I decided to remove my OEM running boards today. They are just a bit too cumbersome and the wife was not loving the leg hit every time she got in/out of our runner. Heres before and after in my ORP everest.
I have a similar clunk when going from 4h to 2h. I have found by keeping the wheel straight and going about 5 mph I have eliminated that sound. Any turn in the wheel seems to exacerbate that noise.

I traded a 2019 Acura RDX in on the 4Runner, but I kept my Ram as a secondary vehicle. In the past...I owned a 3rd gen 1996 4Runner, 3 tacomas, and my first ride was a 1982 Toyota pickup. Dang I miss that thing. I've also had 3 wranglers...they were fun, but always had some issue going on. lol
I appreciate everyone's thoughts. While I don't anticipate a great answer from Toyota, I do plan to ask my service manager about it when I go in for my first oil change. If I hear anything interesting...I'll be sure to follow up here.
